I think plastic lids are okay (I personally feel okay about them) since they don't touch the food, unless you cram too much food in there. I think the food has to touch it to be able to soak up toxins-- based on what I've heard about acidic foods, like canned tomato paste, attracting in much more BPA.

There are containers with non plastic lids, like these crocks from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Home-Basics-Ceramic-Canister-Spoon/dp/B00PG6M5CE/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1421254248&sr=8-11&keywords=ceramic+tupperware

Or this enamelware lunch box:

Or this enamel + wooden lid container:

If you have $30-$50 to spend on a single thing of tupperware, that is.

To be fair, these things will definitely last a lifetime, are easier to clean, won't smell, won't melt in the dishwasher, etc. If I had the money that's what I'd get. But I don't and am not worried about glass tupperware with plastic lids.

Even regular plastic tupperware, I bet you would be fine if you lined it with wax paper.

I got this scale on Amazon it tells me what my muscle gain and other stuff is. It really helped me when I would struggle with not seeing the loss I wanted to see. It stores that in an app too so you can compare. I don't use the app so much now but when I was going hardcore it was great.
