Not sure if this is the same size you need (I have the two) but I like this one better than the original band. Also it comes with an extra band, one for smaller wrists, I've for larger wrist.

There's a line from a company called Snug which sells silicone bands that are extra long and you cut them down to size. Best solution so far.

I couldn't find something more transparent to protect it, though. There might be a market for a transparent vinyl overlay!
The TWP charger will stop working if you connect it to any charger over 2amps. It needs a 1 amp charger.
As for replacements, I've had good luck with these and old ipad charger bricks.

I use this silicone band (22mm), very comfortable. I wipe it off with a baby wipe or makeup wipe every night to keep it from getting gross and causing a rash, especially if I've worn my watch at the gym.
