Recently Read: Witch Rising and The Ferryman. The Ferryman was fantastic, I really encourage people interested in dark, philosophical or Halloween-ish topics to read it.
Reading Now: Grimm's Fairy Tales and Make Your Speech More Impactful, they're both really enjoyable so far - descriptive, thoughtful and still easy enough to digest.
Reading Next: Persuasive Advertising and The Scarlett Letter. I'm cheating since I've already started both of these but need to finish my current books first.
I mostly read free Kindle books and have a book review blog if anyone's interested.
I'm reading two right now. Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan and The King by J. R. Ward. They're both pretty fun. The Michael Sullivan one is the first in a series (actually, it's an omnibus of the first two in a series) and the J.R. Ward one is the newest in her Black Dagger Brotherhood series. If you're interested in BDB, I recommend starting with Dark Lover, which is the first in the series. This isn't a series that you can jump into from the middle.
One book that comes to mind for me is Ribofunk by Paul Di Filippo for a couple reasons:
Definitely try The Deed of Paksenarrion, then. Might take you a week to read. :)
It's available on Netflix DVD, but not online streaming, and I wasn't sure how you all felt about linking to sketchy sites where you can watch it for free, so instead if you want to try [Amazon instant video] (http://www.amazon.com/Synecdoche-York-Philip-Seymour-Hoffman/dp/B001ROXGTK) you can catch it there.
It's available on [Amazon Prime] (http://www.amazon.com/Obvious-Child-Jenny-Slate/dp/B00KT1B7WK) for free!
It's still on streaming rental [I assure you it's worth the 99 cents to rent it] (http://www.amazon.com/Women-Arent-Funny-Tom-Arnold/dp/B00MMO1CEK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420175536&sr=8-1&keywords=women+aren%27t+funny)
The books are seriously worth a read too if you like the show! I'm re-reading the series while I anxiously await the next half of the season.
I have an HBOgo password. I have torrented the entire collection in the past though, but that harddrive is in storage somewhere. It's a classic, so the box sets may be at your local library.
To buy an entire season on Amazon is only $15
