A person I know used this book to learn Ukrainian. As far as I understood, it's pretty good though seems to be a tad pricey.
If you ever need to practice your Ukrainian with a native speaker, feel free to PM me, espcecially if you want to practice your written Ukrainian. I'm seldom available for a voice chat. However, I'm sure you'll find a lot of people willing to help you with oral Ukrainian too.
Thanks, some searching turned up a 50,000 word list from subtitles, which is perfect (see the edit in my original text post).
I'm using Shevchuk's Beginner's Ukrainian as my main reference, Anki lists for vocab, keybr for getting my typing speed up, and I'm supplementing throughout the day with DuoLingo. I try to watch a Ukrainian movie every couple of weeks. Plus I ask my girlfriend things occasionally :)
This is a pretty full toolkit, so I'm wary of overloading myself, but if you have a suggestion I'm all ears!!
