Yellow jacket commercial traps are pretty effective for getting the ones out roaming around but it won't take care of the nest. There are also tons of YouTube videos of homemade versions - in addition to ways to take out their nests.
I just had a hive in a soffit of my house and used this insecticide dust and it killed them quickly, if the hose doesn’t work maybe try that too?
Smoke is a wasps second most hated enemy, as it is near a wasps most hated enemy fire. I found a good deterrent was to make the areas wasps like to frequent smell like smoke, tends to help.
So I learned that grilling or smoking in an area I don't want them helps out. I do this to keep my porch free of the bastards. Just fire up the grill, put some smoky wood on the fire and let that smoke fill the air. Or let the smoke directly hit them by caring coals where you need them, just be care full and keep an extinguisher and water near by.
The second deterrent from any insect including wasps is the spray seal. This stuff is non toxic but is 99% effecting. Its actually a thick spray that emits a smell that insects hate. All of them. Just go to your hardware store and look for it.
