18. XCOM Classics Pack [Online Steam Code]
Sentiment score: 0
Number of reviews: 1
Requires Steam Client to activate. Steam key only valid in North America.
I have one like it but it's not leather. Grab you a military style day pack (I think the one shoulder ones are rush bags, maybe that's just the brand I have though) and attach some extra pouches to the M.O.L.L.E. straps. Something like this. There are some for not as many money if super rugged isn't needed.
Maybe slightly less exciting news, but the second XCOM Novel now has a name!
XCOM: Escalation
It was previously "Unnamed Novel Title" or something like that.
Edit: Nevermind, it was already mentioned a few days ago and I only just now I've found out.
Xcom Resurrection, "Bridging the narrative between EW and X2". Breaks the lore at points like how shield bearers are deployed before they're canonically rolled out... but it's good if you overlook them. https://www.amazon.com/XCOM-2-Resurrection-Greg-Keyes/dp/1608877124

There's a sequel, Escalation. Haven't read it yet but it looks good.
Johnny Lumpkin seems to be quite happy writing books for a living. He makes LW for fun!

Fantastic; looks like Slingshot DLC is also on sale for $1.74; grabbing that, since it's the only thing I don't yet have!

Laser Squad. If you're into playing old games, this is the game that started it all. There's also Laser Squad Nemesis, made in 2002.
Silent Storm and its sequel. WWII setting with a sci-fi twist. This is my favorite out of this list.
The Jagged Alliance series, of which Jagged Alliance - Back In Action is the latest. I've heard a lot of people didn't like the new one, but the older ones are on GOG.
Xenonauts (X-Com clone)
UFO: Alien Invasion (free X-Com clone)
UFO: Aftermath and its sequels. Most people didn't like this series. I've only played the first one, and it was ok imo.

I am aware of this setup. Shame I don't own this specific device. Still, I've tried it with a saitek command unit (similar idea, worse execution than G13). I didn't use it for long and I didn't deem it worthy for inclusion in the list. The main reasons were:
Actually, if you don't mind thumb stress and own a G13, that may be really great. After all 1) it's all highly personal and subjective and 2) I didn't claim to try it all, so maybe it's the real 11/10 for somebody.
Yep, there's a few in fact. Some based on WotC too.
EDIT: I did not know about that last one though. November 2018, pretty recent.
It's covered in the book. If you're like me, and don't care to read it, you can listen to this guy read/summarize it.
But the quick summary is that the game effectively picks up right after the resistance gets the ship in working order.
https://www.amazon.com/Adult-Propeller-Beanie-Hat-Made/dp/B001QK4RZC ? Because that'd be awesome.
There's this official novel for XCOM 2 which is enjoyable given the appropriate level of expectations. It's official prequel for the game.

Edit:
Xcom 2 tosses out most events from previous games in more ways than one. But to get the most of the book and the game, you'll want to brush up on the main characters from XCOM EU: Shen, Bradford, Vahlen, and Van Doorn.

I'll do you better. There are actual novelizations.

The XCOM 2 tie-in novel, that explains what happens between the games, and gives us a rough time when XCOM failed.
Also, Dr Vahlen had a hidden base in an active volcano before she "disappeared completely" so, a mad German scientist with a secret base in an active volcano ...

May I recommend having part of your transaction go towards an organization of your choice by using AmazonSmile instead?
I believe this patch is from the Special Edition: https://www.amazon.com/XCOM-Enemy-Special-Artbook-Poster-Soundtrack/dp/B006WQR3OM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1520313384&sr=8-1&keywords=xcom%2Benemy%2Bunknown%2Bspecial%2Bedition&th=1
That's where I got mine, anyway. I'm sure people make/sell them elsewhere on the internet, but I could never find any.
Amazon has some keys for the same price:

It's the name of the base in XCOM UFO Defense novel.
https://www.amazon.com/XCOM-2-PC/dp/B00YHZEILQ link if anyone wants it.
Will be.

I don't know where you reside, but Amazon has it for just over 30 € (+ shipping, if that applies to you, obviously). Maybe that is an option for you?

Version without OP's affiliate tag.
I bought the physical copy of the game from Amazon and when I activated it on Steam, it counted as a preorder and gave me the Resistance Warrior pack. However I don't know where to get just the DLC itself
https://www.amazon.com/Aliens-vs-Predator-Terminator/dp/1569715688
I presume you know about the XCOM board game then?
This one here :P
http://www.amazon.com/Badge-Magic-Cut-Freestyle-Adhesive/dp/B0062DLDH8/
I think this is the one being referenced.

Ayup.
Just in case some of you don't browse /r/gamedeals.
Also, I'm sure most of you have EU, so if you're only looking to pick up the originals its here for $3.75
EDIT: hurdur wrong link
While I was at Firaxicon, Greg did confirm that the art book will contain spoilers for the game.
I might take a few low res pics once I actually receive the damn thing (haven't received it from amazon even though I preordered it).
***
EDIT: As of 0435 UTC, still no news on when my preorder of the art book will be shipped from US Amazon. 2k store page lists the book's status as "Pre Order" so my guess is they have not finished printing/distributing yet. I will update this post when I have more news.
