Premiere is king, but it is a bit expensive, unless you pay monthly. I mean, over time it gets expensive, but IMO it's the best suite you can get for video editing.
Cost is important, especially for just getting started. No one wants to drop big money on something they don't have experience with. On my personal youtube channel I edit all my videos with Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12. There is a new one out there, but you can get the Movie Studio for like $30 on Amazon.
There are free ones out there as well that aren't half bad, but nothing compares to paid ones like Premiere, Vegas Video, Final Cut, Movie Stuido, etc.
Edit: As a matter of fact, here is the version I use for $32: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Movie-Studio-Platinum-Suite/dp/B008MIMIY8/ref=sr_1_2?s=software&ie=UTF8&qid=1412179175&sr=1-2&keywords=sony+premium+software
Forgot about your memory. Idk if this went unnoticed or was an unintentional pick, but find a memory kit that is a 2x4 if you want 8 gigs never go with a single stick, most processors are designed with dual-tri-quad channel memory in mind. Amd only does dual channel and with a single stick, you pretty much cut your memory band with in half, 4 gigs of dual channel would be better then a single channel of 8. Like this
ok what if I got this instead of the Sempron http://www.amazon.com/AMD-FD8350FRHKBOX-FX-8350-FX-Series-Edition/dp/B009O7YUF6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-2&keywords=AMD
