I do phone replacement quite often and honestly it's not that bad. You can find a guide online somewhere and yes you can purchase it online.

I will note that getting parts from amazon tends to be hit or miss on quality but I've found many great cheap replacements there.

Most of them do, yeah.

I use a slimport HDMI-out adapter and a PS3 sixaxis pad to play Dreamcast games on my 32" TV - it runs flawlessly, if you turn off the frame limiter the games actually run too fast, for example in Phantasy Star Online without the frame limiter you run around at about 5x the normal speed (and also shoot that fast too).

I think the only ones that I have problems with are the Dolphin (Wii/GC) emu, as I don't think tegra devices are supported with it yet, and the Saturn emu is choppy and runs about 20fps with sound disabled, but a lot of games don't work that I've tried.
