No problem! You can look at the published research online (pubmed, sportsdiscus), you can pick up a textbook like this if you can get a good deal https://www.amazon.ca/ACSMs-Foundations-Strength-Training-Conditioning/dp/0781782678 for in depth explanations for yourself, but ultimately just find what works for you and roll with it (within reason). Be careful online but those YouTube channels (and Elitefts has a TON of online resources) are quite good. Work in what you want to improve, and don't just do something because you saw a big guy at the gym doing it. You'll learn a lot along the way.

It also can be kinda tough to do explosiveness with bench; Plyometrics may be more suitable (explosive push-ups, etc). While you'll probably need a lifting coach, Olympic lifts (clean and jerk, snatch) are huge for power and strength and in my mind is the pinnacle of weight training. They are very technical and will take years of practice to have good form, and they also requiring great flexibility.

I personally train on a strength/powerlifter style with deadlifts, bench, and squat being my main lifts. My workout today wasn't great but here it is: I ran for 2km, rolled and stretched my legs for 10 minutes, did some kettle bell swings, did 5 sets of deadlifts, did some bench press, and some overhead press with the land mine thing (although I'd usually do a fully "pull" workout with rows and pull-ups this day, I just felt like benching), and then cooled down. I'd usually do more but I'm kinda sick and I got tired quick. Sometimes you just have off days.

If he doesn't already have one:
Cramer RigidLite Tactical for Athletic Trainers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BPRB87G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_5iOlybPJJFNZ1

Water bottles, like contigo or blender bottles specifically that have plastic loops. I always feel like my hands are full and have to loop it on a finger.

Sunglasses and hats.
Athletic socks.
Dry fit polos
Long sleeve under armor

Anatomy Coffee Mugs

Finally there's a t-shirt that says I found this humerus. Look it up. My brother bought it for me for Christmas a while back. I did find it humorous. It's my favorite shirt.

You can get a CPR mask pretty much anywhere. Here is one from Amazon. "Not shield" just means don't get one that is just the foldable plastic ones like so, most likely because you will be practicing with them and those are just single use.

I don’t think you need to stock it, perhaps if you wanted to get a few key non- expendable items that would be nice (e.g. shears, tape cutters, penlight, pocket mask, goniometer, tuning fork, etc.). If it’s her personal bag, I wouldn’t get anything bigger as most jobs will provide something if she needs it or have it in the budget.

I also have a sling bag (link below) that I like for running on the field and quick access the medpac 2800 is my sideline/bench bag.

Cramer AT Messenger Pack for Athletic Trainers, Durable Over the Shoulder Sling Bag, Fanny Pack Alternative, Lightweight Training Kit Carries Essential Supplies, Including Tape and Scissors, Empty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005A0V0ZY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Y7WCDbDXJSJB0

This is what I had used mainly to study when I took my exam back in summer of 2014. https://www.amazon.com/Secrets-NATA-BOC-Exam-Study-Guide/dp/1610721926 Got through it just fine along with my classmates who also used this. If I remember correctly it's cheaper directly on their website versus Amazon. I also paid for all the practice exams that are offered. Take them in practice mode, as test mode never gave the correct answer with explanations. Write down what you get right and wrong to give yourself an idea. Don't neglect the Prentice book either.
