FRONTIER is way better than Comcast for sure! But don't use their shitty routers that they give you. Go buy yourself one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Advanced-Simultaneous-Dual-Band-Wireless-N/dp/B004T9RR4A (Linksys E2500).

I pay for FiOS 50/50, and I was NOT getting 50 mbps with Frontier's modem and the WiFi service with the Frontier modem barely worked. I think when the technician tested the internet during set-up, I was getting around 20-30 mbps and he told me that Frontier's infrastructure was not set up yet for 50/50, so I wouldn't be getting the 50 mbps yet. I thought that was a crock of BS, because why advertise it if it's not? Anyway, it was just their crappy router to blame.

When I went out and bought the Linksys and plugged it in and set it up, I got the 50/50 that I pay for, PLUS the WiFi is amazing.

You don't need to call in Frontier if you get the Linksys router. It's just plug in and set up your router name and password, and it'll work. If you know your way around the 192.168.1.1 menu/settings, it'll be really easy to set it up. Be sure to release the DHCP lease from the advanced settings of the Frontier Router first or you'll have to wait like two hours.

In our house, we have 2 gamers, a Roku player, Sling TV, ChromeCast, and some WiFi tablets, so our network is a bit crowded, but there's hardly any lag or congestion that affects anything. :)

EDIT: See my reply below for some speed tests.

Another vote for Frontier here, I've got 75 up/down and it's been solid. I pay like $60 a month.

I got this Asus router because their included router is junk though.
