Stacking with Theanine will make caffeine more effective (use a 1:2 ratio where you take twice as much theanine than caffeine). I’m a fan of this product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074G3SYTT/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_Bp-vCbV3HKE4V

It seems like I’ve read that combining fat (e.g. butter or coconut oil) to coffee can increase the duration and strength. Can’t vouch for it personally- but check out bulletproof coffee.

I stick with generic. Check the ingredients(as you should with everything you buy) to make sure it’s pretty much just caffeine. I found these on Amazon

L-Theanine is an amino acid that comes from green tea. It’s cheap and it eliminates a lot of the annoying side effects of caffeine. It gets rid of a lot of the jitters and it lowers the anxiety producing effects of caffeine. Green tea and black tea contain small amounts of L-Theanine which is attributed to their calming effect. It’s much more effective if you take large doses of it so I buy mine off of Amazon in 200 mg capsules HERE.

I have an anxiety disorder so I’m very sensitive to caffeine. I take L-Theanine every day. The folks over at /r/Nootropics recommended taking L-Theanine in a 2:1 ratio or 3:1 ratio with caffeine. So if you have a roughly 150 mg coffee you might take roughly 300 mg of L-Theanine. It’s very safe. You can take hundreds of milligrams and it won’t do anything bad except maybe make you sleepy. It also increases focus. Also, it’s non addictive.

Sorry to type so much, I just really like telling people about it because it’s so helpful for people like me with anxiety and it allows me to have caffeine sometimes when I otherwise couldn’t.

There are caffeinated chocolate bars such as Awake Bars, and even caffeinated mints for those that don't want to eat a bunch of junk food ( https://www.amazon.com/Rally-Energy-Caffeine-Mints-Breath/dp/B06WRV558H ). In general there is a caffeine taste which is a bitterness that is hard to overcome without adding tons of sweeteners. These mints do a pretty good job IMO.
