Okay, you got me wanting something, Where did you get the Jeep Body? I've got a two door Pro-Line Wrangler body and a hard shell body I bought off of Amazon, but the hard body is super top heavy. Gimme me some DETAILS! LoL.

Edit: I'm dumb with formatting.

This was the hard body I purchased, Needed a lot of modification to work. https://www.amazon.com/Truck-Shell-Scale-Wrangler-%EF%BC%8CArmy/dp/B07K4QVNR4/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=jeep+wrangler+rc+body&qid=1571411519&sr=8-4

It would technically work but it's FAR too low of a turn to work even half way decently. That's a higher speed motor, you might end up burning up the motor trying to get over rock because it will have so little torque.

They're cheap, if you can afford a kit you can afford the $15-$30 for a proper motor. Even the cheap ones on amazon/ebay are good

If you want it for pure crawling I'd recommend a 35t+, if you want to crawl but have more speed for trails then 27t.

I have one very similar to this and has lasted a long time for me

There's an almost identical bag for less than half that price too. I'm using it and it works great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ATSWWDA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_YE3wDb4038ZMB

I'm going to be getting this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBWQPOK/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_FGwzDbSHCWD2S From the measurements, it should be just big enough to fit my TRX-4. This way I can go hiking and not have to worry about lugging my crawler around. Interestingly, I started a post asking about this and there is literally nothing on the market designed to carry just the crawler. There are HUGE crawler bags that are designed to hold tools, extra equipment, etc, but I just wanted something small. It's baffling that this doesn't exist. Heck, I would design it myself and fund via kickstarter if I knew how

This is a crosspost, but I figured it would go well here too.

This will be unsprung weight, so there is added stress to components. However it was vastly cheaper than collar weights on the axle. It also allows for an easy way to add a large amount of weight. The weights are just stick-on, normal wheel weights (these particular ones were these).

So far the only part broken upon adding these to my Everest 10 is my idler gear in the transmission. I tried to power out of a situation (stuck under a downed telephone pole). I have tipped over a lot less though, and with the slow speed of my crawler everything seems just fine.

This isn't the best solution, but a cheap one for those looking to quickly add some weight. Holes in the rims are still open. I have run through a lot of water/mud (from freezing to warm) and nothing has come undone yet. I believe the addition of the electrical tape may help here.

Hopefully this helps out someone crawling and not wanting to spend a lot on scale wheel weights.

Edit: For those with an Everest 10, I do already have parts replaced. My ESC fried with all stock parts. I believe my servo fried with stock parts, although I may have had bigger tires. My new servo is a Savox SW-0231MG, ESC is a Hobbywing QuicRun WP Crawler Brush Brushed 1080 80A, and my motor is a Titan 12T. I have the punch turned down with the ESC to minimize initial strain, although I did use throttle control (finger) before this ESC was programmed. Obviously use at your own risk if adding this much unsprung weight.

Second edit: /u/Amazon_Smiler is a bot that I have no control over and I am in no way trying to promote those particular wheel weights over any others.

Use the smallest single screw clips you can find and use nuts and bolts to attach the panels. That'll leave a small gap around the panels

Made some upgrades since my last post. I like it when you guys share so here I am. The tires really made a difference in climbing dirty rock ridden trails. Everything else is really cosmetic. The yellow electrical tape is me trying to feel out if I like the yellow strip.
