I personally like to Co-witness with irons especially ones that are as minimal as the Scorpions are. They are great sights on their own and stay out of the way when using a red dot. That being said, I went from a Vortex Sparc II that I LOVED. For the price you might want to look into these as well!

Of the options you're talking about, I would definitely go with the Holosun. The Spitfire would be HUGE on a Scorpion and the Eotech is just a little too bulky for the platform. Both of those would negate having such a small gun imo. I'm going to swap over to an RMR because its small and light and gets the exact same job done without being in the way at all. I might even do a Vortex Viper since their warranty is great and its like 1/2 the price of even the cheapest RMR.

I've used Holosuns in the past and I've found them to be every bit as good as an Aimpoint for what I'm using it for. They're awesome and cheap as hell. Even these Primary Arms red dots are incredible for the price. If you don't care about push button operation and are fine with a little dial to adjust brightness, you can get the same thing for like $90!

I’d personally skip the laser, imo they are really more a novelty. If you are training with your firearm and have the right setup you shouldn’t be relying on the laser to do the “aiming” for you.

That being said a light is highly recommended, especially if this is a home defense gun. You should always be able to ID what you are pointing your gun at. I have a streamlight TLR-1HD with the pressure switch, I like not having to move my grip in order to turn the light on/off. A newer up a comer in the market that everyone seems to love is Olight (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07RFS7YN7/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1). They have a really neat magnet charger that lets you keep it charging at all times, and can quick disconnect when you need it.

Best of luck OP, and great choice of firearm 😊

I picked up a midwest industries M-lok QD mount for the front end and I'll be getting a PMM rear QD mount

the MI QD I got is this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TIFKP26/

I like that one as it's slanted and it won't stick out to catch my hand on it when using the charging handle in a fast motion like the side clips that are there by default.

I'm going to go with either a Haley Strategic or a Savvy Sniper, I like the way they can do 1 or 2 point quickly. I'm leaning towards the HS though...

It is a Burris Fastfire III. Initially, I planned to get the cowitness mount from cz-custom for true co-witness.
https://czcustom.com/cz-scorpion-evo-3-s1/evo-custom-parts/cz-scorpion-evo-rail-mount-ff3.html

Out of the box with the factory low mount (pictured), you can sort-of get a lower 1/3 cowitness... but getting a cheek-weld on the blade brace was challenging. So I scrapped that idea.
I started experimenting with this mount : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BI0I9AS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It allows use of the factory sights through the mount and gives a good height for the Fastfire with a cheek weld. Not sure if it's the final solution yet.

I mounted this, UTG LT-ELP123R-A 400 lm Sub-Compact LED Ambi Pistol Light https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E9UJ4SA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_VChxDbD3K97KQ , on both of my scorpions. Toggles with your thumb very well, nice and bright, and they have held up to thousands of rounds shot thru both. Couldn't be happier with them - especially for the price.

Is this the one?

Really like the idea and look of that. I have a Switchback as well and I use the thick backstrap (my thin one is broken anyhow). Are you using the thick with it? Think it would fit if not?

1in UTG riser, and you can peep your factory iron thru the riser gap - freakin perfect. Chose a 25yd zero - as this a dedicated HD setup.

UTG 1 in riser link -

You can put a Hogue Handall slip on over whatever grip you use.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WYH00S?th=1&psc=1

I have that one over the stock grip right now but it was an extremely tight fit getting it on there.

u/blaggosphere · 1 pointr/czscorpion

My Fastfire 3 was absolute cowitness. C-More railway gave me 1/3 and IMO looks way sexier on the scorpion.

u/PanzerRadeo · 1 pointr/czscorpion

In fact, $100 even right now. All the inforce pistol lights are more.

u/Sunder92 · 1 pointr/czscorpion

Here's the link to it.

I have one as well and have no complaints.. But it is just on my Ruger 10/22

What about blue loctite?

https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-37418-Strength-Threadlocker-6-milliliter/dp/B000FIXQXK

Hard to strike a balance between "not permanent" and "won't move without you noticing". You may need to wrench the puppy off if you use this, but it shouldn't walk out.

I fought with mine for a week with various dremeling and drilling to little effect. Then I bought an end mill from Amazon and it took about sixty seconds to get the weld out.
