I shattered a borosilicate coffee mug (this one) by dropping it in the sink. I think people here are a little overconfident in borosilicate. Tensile strength is really not the only metric that matters for impacts. It matters most when the material quickly changes temperature, which is why borosilicate is so popular for cookware.
Borosilicate is not a magic supermaterial and armorglass is a bad name for it.
