The other one which is half the price of this has a few reviewers complaining about the audio being out of sync? Jesus, where is the QC dept. there?

Anyway, I have that linked set, and all the discs work great, PLUS you get an extra disc of features that doesn't seem to be included with the other set. AND this one also has a sweet and very classy looking "book" with characters and quotes that holds all the discs. You'll see what I mean when you get it.

I am pretty sure the one to own is the 69.99 version. It's more a collectors edition than the other one.

If you like westerns, you should read Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. If TV series are your thing, then the overlook yet brilliant Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco is something not to be missed. Can't go wrong with McCarthy and Eco. It's hard to compare Cranston to McShane though. It's like apples and oranges there.

David Milch mentioned that in the Deadwood companion book he wrote. He was clearly angry at his lot in life at the end of the series so I could see him slowly changing, or at least trying to.

Deadwood by Pete Dexter is cited as an inspiration for the series. Charley Utter is its main character, and provides a unique lens through which to view the story we love.
