If you're interested in the monster raising aspects, then I would suggest Digimon World 1 (And Next Order, though I havn't played it myself) along with possibly Digimon World Championship since that emulates the v-pets. A lot of the games do pair you with many digimon rather than a single partner like the anime, and I agree that takes some stuff away from the appeal the Anime had and makes it pokemon-ish, but the neat thing about the Digimon games is that each one tends to tackle a totally different genera. World 1 is a sort of monster raising game like the V-Pet, but on a bigger scale, World 2 is a mystery dungeon game, World 3 is a JRPG (which keeps you with the same 3 or 4 partners for the whole game, too), World 4 is a beat-em-up dungeon crawler - theres a good amount of variety to how all the digimon games play.

You might also want to take a look at Digimon Survive. Its taking inspiration from the anime in the sense that the party will always turn back into their child stage like World 3, but also it is going to have a visual novel segment, and how you treat the tamers of each of your parties Digimon will affect what their Digimon can evolve into, because their evolution are tied to their humans emotional state.

Its a cool franchise, because theres so many different takes on it. If you keep looking I'm sure you'll find an entry that gels with you!

Additional details:

The 02 and Tamers subs are exceptionally old junky versions. They exist, but they certainly aren't recommended. It's worth mentioning that (unless Sony at some point recently got better copies from Toei) these border on unwatchable due to serious video issues and have significantly issues with the subtitles (many but not all of which were fixed in the later 'streamed on Netflix' version which vanished a few years ago.)

There are actually a number of storefronts that have Digimon digitally, outside of 02/Tamers subbed listing the Playstation Storefront is likely unnecessary, especially since some of the other storefronts are available on Playstation (Amazon and iTunes would be more relevant storefronts to add.)

Additional non 'to own' streaming providers outside of Crunchyroll would be good also (a decent chunk is on Hulu, and it's free equivalent, Yahoo View.)


tri. had a rather wide digital release for the dub, adding a few of the bigger and/or more notable storefronts (iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Vimeo) would be good (especially since a handful of them have unique elements to the release.)

Xros Wars and Hunters is easily watchable in subbed on Crunchyroll and has been since before the Fusion dub existed.

It should likely be mentioned that Xros dubbed as Fusion does not include Hunters (perhaps list Hunters separate, along with a 'Fusion Season 3' tag, while also mentioning that it was never dubbed.

Digimon the Movie has not been reprinted in a number of years that I'm aware of. It's new old stock that gets listed on Amazon, normally for high prices by third party sellers.

Mentioning that X-Evolution and the Savers film were both not dubbed, and are not available either way in addition to notes for the other movies not being available.


Also, I'd suggest reformatting the way you list the text. Having the show name be the main item, with bullet points for how to watch it would make it appear more natural to read. Having the show name as bullet points makes it look extremely change.

A reformat could have added clarity, without information that isn't necessarily needed for someone who just wants to know if they can watch/get a show. I've included a mockup/example below (with just a few bits added to show what I mean.)

Not sure if it helps being a female fan of the series but my favorite collectibles are the blind boxes, figurines, or plush. The nice thing about blind boxes is you can get her something franchise related and not be responsible if she gets her favorite character or not if you don't know who that is and don't know how to ask.

The only movies that have been released with English dubs so far are 1-3. They can each be purchased on Amazon.

Movie 4, Loss, will release soon on April 24, however. It is available for pre-order.

Movie 5, Coexistence, has not been dubbed yet. I'm not sure when exactly it will be releasing but it will be this year.

Movie 6 hasn't even premiered in original Japanese yet. It is due to release May 5. The dub will be out later this year I believe.

All 5 movies can be watched in their original Japanese with English subtitles on Crunchyroll right now. Movie 6 (Our Future) will be available the day it is released on Crunchyroll.

There is no legal way to watch the English dubs online for free AFAIK.

It depends on what you want.

If you're looking for Omnimon action figures, I would recommend either the SH Figuarts or the D-Arts figures. NXGirT made a comparison video on YouTube if you'd like to have a look.

The Figure Rise Standard is a type of figure that requires assembly and sometimes paint, so it isn't up there in terms of quality, although I believe it is currently the cheapest one.

The NXEDGE figure is the closest you're going to get to a chibi Omnimon, so there's that option.

If, however, you'd like larger PVC figures (scale figures), then I'd reccomend the Precious GEM line. There's currently only one Omnimon from that line, but that's probably the highest quality Omnimon figure you can find.

Amazon UK has a page for the dub Blu Ray coming in March.

Aren't Blu Rays region free? If yes then you could import it if there isn't a US release. My guess if they're releasing it in the UK then there must be a US release as well. They just haven't confirmed it for some reason.

They removed it from both Hulu&Netflix years ago and i can't even get my hands on raw Fan-Sub files of Season 1 these days. Unless you're ready to shell out insane amounts of cash for BD directly from Japan, there is no legal way to watch the first 2 seasons of adventure subbed. Even if you do buy this, you still have the headache of hunting for accurate&official Subtitles.

IN a perfect world, we'd have every obscure/old anime available for purchase digitally without any frustrating region locking but sadly, we don't live in that world.

Sorry. It looks like it might be lightscribe to be honest. But I could be wrong. Either way, Amazon has it for $35.00. Worst case scenario.
