I also am only able to get Bestine heptane, so it will be interesting to see the yields from this solvent as i know it's more selective. Maybe i will have to add more time and more stirring to get the best yield possible... even though iv'e read Sometimes heptane can destroy dmt , though i don't know how true that statement is.

When you say sous vid do mean the demi water oven or could i get something like this

Nope, no problems or leaking at all. I like the bottle. It's a little pricey on Amazon right now but I got it a while back when it was like $10 less. These are probably just as good and much cheaper. I did buy them but haven't used them yet. However, comparing then side by side, the Pyrex bottle is much higher quality.

A simple distillation rig can he used to reclaim your solvent. Easy process: pour used solvent in boiling flask and apply heat (hot water bath). Solvent boils off is collected via condenser tube in a collection flask. The fats remain in the boiling flask, and Clean solvent condenses in the recieving flask.

I stop before all the solvent is evapped and pour the remaining yellow liquid into a glass dish to air evap. I collect the remaining product and keep it for mixing with cannabis.

Here's an example glass distillation kit:

Not including a small water pump. A cheap aquarium pump works great.

Here’s a post I made for UK reagents

As for the freezer smell, this Pyrex dish comes with a lid. Just be sure to wrap it in cling film as well and there will be zero smell.

I'm using mimosa, but once you're beyond the lye step it shouldn't matter, should it?

Is this what one would be looking for?

Looking to try out this tek for my first extraction ever. Would it harm using filtered tap water instead of distilled water? Will be filtering using a jug similar to the one linked below.
