This is what I'm talking about people! Non-whovians end up on this subreddit with dire questions, not knowing that the main sub is /r/doctorwho...
I always hate people asking for gift ideas. Not that it's a bad thing, but we have no baseline for what they already have or what they would like. You probably can't go wrong with a plushie, pillow, t-shirt etc. I'd recommend comics or novels if I knew which Doctor they liked. (It's ok if that sentence made no sense...) But my go toes would be the comic The Weeping Angels of Mons and/or the novel Touched by an Angel.

OK, since it appears that the lamp in question is no longer made and I'm not that damned handy....
...It's obviously not perfect, but do the folks here think that this lamp would be acceptable?
These 11 books were released last year as part of the 50th anniversary celebration. Since there were 11 doctors up to that point, each doctor got their own novel.
Amazon has it on Instant Video.
