> I have a lot of friends and family interested in my products

That's typical, they should be supporting you. Have you done research into your target market?

>I live in Orlando, and to be honest, aside from LUSH, there's not really anything like it going on.

Respectfully calling bullshit. I do not know your area, as someone selling to people in your profession, farmers markets, popup markets and boutique stores are chock full of people selling home made soaps, some of which are "real" wiccan.

Some very rudimentary googling brings up a number of manufacturers of soap that are in local farmers markets and online in Orlando... Not to mention Etsy being flooded with online options and an instructional book.

If you expect to make headways you'll need to be realistic about what you'll be facing. Kickstarter won't sell your product, nor will a strong online presence, you need to define benefits understand your ideal client and figure out how to get in front of them.

I do wish you good luck, keep us updated!

I think the colour palette feels very... industrial, I would play with that and talk to people about what kind of colours best suit your company. I'm not sure about the company, whether it's outsourcing these products however if you're taking the pictures of the razors, consider grabbing a white box, and a light to take the pictures rather than over a wood grain. You can make something like this at home for a few dollars.

It's well designed from a user perspective, but there are some tweaks that should be made.

>id="et-top-navigation"
>
>You should add "display: flex" to it's CSS code, so that when in mobile view the icons appear side-by-side.
>
>The above code, however would not maintain normal functionality in desktop mode, play with containers and such and see what can be done to fix that. Obviously conditional viewport styling would work as you have that already.

>id="main-content"
>
>You should add "padding-bottom: 32px" so that it doesn't smooch with the footer.

The search bar overlaps with the logo on the top on mobile, which could result in annoying and unwanted redirection.

I liked Zero to One by Peter Thiel & Blake Masters. I found that book both insightful and very easy to digest. I tore through it rather quickly. It's a bit more philosophical than it is hard and practical, but it really makes sense. I am currently reading The Lean Startup, but I am too early into it to form an opinion.

> Other overhead includes a decent-sized warehouse that probably runs them $50K annual including utilities, and quite likely a truck or two.

They could potentially just send everything into FBA with no quality control, correct?

On top of Amazon's 15% commission, what does an average order look like for a Prime-shipped FBA'd item?

https://www.amazon.com/LUCID-Hypoallergenic-Waterproof-Mattress-Protector/dp/B00A2G9VFM

The seller gets that item manufactured in China

They ship it overseas right into an FBA warehouse

They have to pay the... $7-$10 shipping fee to ship it to a customer, no? $17 - $7 is $10. 15% Amazon fee: $8.50. The cost of the product has to be in the ball park of $3. $5.50. How much do storage fees cost? What about import tariffs, etc.?

You seem very knowledgable on this topic. Are you an FBA seller?
