Really loved the idea! It reminded me of The Innovator's Toolkit book, although the approach is different.
Maybe I would add more elaborate examples or case studies of how the experiments could be applied.
Also, it would be great if I coud filter the exercises by the attibutes, such as difficulty or what it validates.
How do you measure the strength of evidence?

I like to read books that are not usually about business but see how the technicques and mindset applies. For example 'Never Split The Difference' is also a great book for learning negotiation skills (https://www.amazon.de/Never-Split-Difference-Negotiating-Depended-ebook/dp/B014DUR7L2)
$50 isn't a lot. But I have cats, and cat owners love to waste money on toys. I'd sit down and design a similar to as my link below - extendable cat wand. I'm surprised I don't see more of these floating around. All of these materials are cheap and can be ordered in bulk. Handle doesn't need so many pieces as this one either.
Id then try to find places to camp and sell. Pet expo, in front of a pet store that's busy, flea market, etc. If you budget you money correctly, you could probably afford some business cards too with an email address (or even a web site if you can put one together yourself).
Rinse, repeat, and should have enough for a reasonable trip in a few months.

My recommendation would be to read Pat Flynn's book, "Will it Fly."
