Murray doesn't make engines, they just assemble and sell whole mowers. My circa ~2005 Murray has a Briggs and Stratton, yours has a Tecumseh.
Tecumseh TVS115-57052E to be exact. You should be able to get what you need with that.
Here's a nice parts diagram:
https://www.jackssmallengines.com/jacks-parts-lookup/manufacturer/tecumseh/4-cycle-vertical/tvs115/tvs115-57052e
And a carburetor, with gaskets:
https://www.amazon.com/632795A-Carburetor-Tecumseh-TVS-100/dp/B00YVW30Z0
I'm not an expert (just a DIYer like you), so maybe you can find just the gaskets elsewhere... but $12 for everything seems like a winner to me. Good luck!
Hey guys, I'm just introducing myself and letting you know why I'm here. From Northern Canada and spend majority of the year snow blowing as opposed to cutting grass... anyways. I picked up a toro self propelled lawn mower for 20 bucks. Got it running and the belt for the blade back on. Freed up the shaft for the gearbox shifter. But I need a cable for the ground control. it snapped.
I cannot find a model number anywhere. Looking for some help. Ive narrowed it down to this part#: 76-2712 https://www.amazon.com/GENUINE-OEM-TORO-PARTS-CONTROL-SPEED/dp/B008TSZM7Q
If anybody can help identify the model# or let me know if this part would work it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys

Then you'll lose the lubricant again, unfortunately :) There are dry lubricants that can help, while avoiding attracting dust/grit.
There is a bike lube that I like for stuff like this, Finish Line Dry Lubricant. It goes on as a clear liquid, and dries dry, which is really nice. It's handy for a range of things around the house, it doesn't leave a mess like oil, and it doesn't attract grit.
This is the liquid version, there is also an aerosol can type:

Alright thanks. I'll look into buying a trickle charger. Any reason jump starting with a car wouldn't work?
This charger from Amazon decent? I know it's 12V, just didn't know if 750 mA was enough. Does show good for lawn mowers though.
People scoff at you when you mention wearing PPE. But you don't realize how much more comfortable you are when using the proper gear to do the work.
This is my set-up:
[pigskin driver gloves](https://smile.amazon.com/Ironclad-General-All-Purpose-Performance-Washable/dp/B00004XOH8/ref=sr_1_6?crid=EIFDH86F2M5D&keywords=padded+work+gloves&qid=1570475804&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sprefix=padded+work%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-6) when on the push mower, or using hand tools, etc.
Padded palm gloves for the trimmer.
Polarized and clear safety glasses, depending on time of day and sun.
Adjustable earmuffs. Lets me wear a hat on the warmer days.
I also have this mesh faceshield if I go help my parents clear their property. rocks and twigs hurt.
Lastly, I throw on my boots and pants.
I remember the days of firing up the trimmer and flinging dirt and rocks everywhere in flip flops and shorts. My younger days weren't brighter days.
i'm pretty sure this is the part i need - https://www.amazon.com/American-Yard-Products-532175121-Drag/dp/B000K1HMQ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468367871&sr=8-1&keywords=craftsman+drag+link
(it costs like $75 from the sears site, hard pass on that)
This should be it.
The part numbers for the Walbro carburetor (which is what that one looks it is to me) are 799728, 499158, or 698171. Hope that helps!
I wish they made a rider I can use weed eater string for blades on. Like this: Remington RM1159 Walk-Behind High-Wheeled String Trimmer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J2VVU0M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4ZIqDbGP69N8C
The engine model is 128M02-0943-F1 and according to this page the carburetor part is 799866. i actually ended up going with this one since it had slightly better reviews. So I'll let you know how it goes!
498260 is the rebuild kit. it comes with extra parts to fit various b/s carburetors. https://www.amazon.com/Briggs-Stratton-498260-Carburetor-Overhaul/dp/B0038U3HP4/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=498260&qid=1573458748&sr=8-3
Strange, I always thought blue was for potable water, I'll take a second look before drinking anyone from Ohio's camping water!. Anyway, here's a link to an Ohio safe red one. https://www.amazon.com/VP-Racing-Fuel-3012-Red/dp/B003TTPHLQ

If you want a Hi-lift.
Not too well versed on push mowers, but you need a belt for it, too? I don't believe any of mine require one.
