This tempered glass is a great value. I installed mine 3 weeks ago. Still going. What nice about this cover is that it covers the entire front face.

[3-Pack] Supershieldz for LG G6 Tempered Glass Screen Protector, Anti-Scratch, Anti-Fingerprint, Bubble Free, Lifetime Replacement Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS2QU13?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Right now I'm using a parallax case. Specifically this one...
LG G6 Case, Caseology [Parallax Series] Slim Dual Layer Protective Textured Geometric Cover Corner Cushion Design [Navy Blue] for LG G6 (2017) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W2GC55D?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I also have a spigen thin fit. I kinda don't like it cause it's slippery. But it looks so nice on the phone. I use it time to time.

Forgot to mention... This cover and parallax case are perfect fit. There's literally no gap between the cover and the side of the case.

Im using the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle PRO because i loathe putting screen protectors on and i want this phone super protected because its so expensive. Larger than i like but VERY protected, fits really well, and looks great.

u/PyroNinja74 · 1 pointr/lgg6

After trying a couple, I actually ended up liking this one. The matt black has a really nice, anti-smudge texture, and it retains the spirit of the original shape really well IMO. I'll check out your suggestion if I decide to try any others though. Thanks!

u/richiericardo · 2 pointsr/lgg6

I've been very happy with the Spigen Tough Armor case. Not to small, not too big. Solid kickstand, which I found also works well as a finger support. (better than the stupid pop up cup things)

I know the phone is protected, I've dropped it a lot. I'm happy with the size and location of the cut outs. That the volume is not a cut out I really like.

I keep a spare $50 bill in the case. Cause I like having it on me, even if I risk losing money with my phone.

Loving my Spigen case
good protection and very low profile

I really want something like this, but a little more grippy on the back. I'm a klutz and I need that support lol.

u/ryleylamarsh · 3 pointsr/lgg6

Absolutely LOVE this screen protector. Leaves about a mm around the edge of the glass.

Is what I use, it works great with my Spigen case even though it's edge to edge. The top isn't fully covered as you can see, but it was very easy to apply and there's no air bubbles or anything like that.

I'd say this is a safe option.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6T3N9T/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is the case I use with it.

Good topic, and I learned something today as I didn't know a magnet would stick to the G6 without the plate.
I've been using a MOCI car mount for a year and used it with my G4, G5, and now G6 and have not experienced any issues.
Below is a link to the current case I bought, permament MOCI mount, and a travel one. The reason I bought the travel air vent mount is that I wanted to get away from taking my Tom Tom GPS when I travel for work. This allows me to use the magnet so I can use my phone GPS, plus it's a nice kickstand for plane trips.

I got this one.

I had the same case when I had my 6p.

Shows off the nice color of the phone and it provides what I think is solid protector on edges.

u/ZombieButch · 2 pointsr/lgg6

I use a Supcase Unicorn Beetle, minus the holster, that's exactly the same style as the one I used on my G3. I really love how it feels, nice and grippy.

u/wordstrappedinmyhead · 4 pointsr/lgg6

Mine has a crappy piece of plastic with a pull-tab at the top corner installed on the screen. Pretty much just meant for basic protection getting it from the factory to the owner, not a legit screen protector at all.

Grab something like this if you want a legit screen protector. Spigen LG G6 Screen Protector Tempered Glass / 2 Pack / 9H Hardness / Case Friendly for LG G6

u/Blaxmith · 2 pointsr/lgg6

3 feet drop, onto the screen. I was using a case: Spigen Tough Armor https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Reinforced-Kickstand-Protection-Technology/dp/B01MYAJT88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539389922&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+lg+g6.

It landed on its screen, but I also had a tempered glass screen protector on it and that didnt receive any damage.

Since my original post, the phone now doesnt turn on at all. I got home from work and plugged it in the charger, and it just shows a red question mark in the battery icon, not receiving charge.

Looks like I'm going to have to perform surgery (or a professional)

Want to buy this cable

And a slim fit clear case:

https://www.amazon.com/Asmart-Protection-Plastic-Backplate-Transparent/dp/B06VWGD7MJ/

And some for minimalist drop protection
www.amazon.com/Spigen-Coated-Surface-Excellent-Compatible/dp/B01N6T3N9T

Does anyone have experience with any of the above or perhaps a better recommendation?

i put on the tempered class while the phone was in the case to be safe. have had no problems at all with the case pushing on the edges of the glass. they fit perfectly with eachother

u/lorddumpy · 1 pointr/lgg6

Thanks for the reply! I just wasn't sure how delicate the back is. I guess I shouldn't worry about the back cracking so much since I'm keeping it in this case. Was looking for a slim one and this seemed to fit the bill.

u/wholesomealt3 · 1 pointr/lgg6

i just use this one

looks nice and has good protection

u/kglass6352 · 1 pointr/lgg6

So many of you guys don't like cases? Well, I usually use one, mainly for light protection, and that extra bit of customization.

I found this brand way back at the G4. Durible, sleek, nice grip, easy to take off and put back on, inexpensive. Spigen

u/EatingPizza · 2 pointsr/lgg6

I bought that case, but since then decided I liked this one better:

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/lgg6

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYB4GZA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_51Gbzb9PMJ44V

I have that one. Really slim and nice.

And a big plus for me is dust caps for headphone and USB ports for when not in use.

u/eruditionfish · 6 pointsr/lgg6

I actually (sort of) have one. I bought the Ringke Fusion (which has a TPU frame with an acrylic back panel) when I got my phone. And just today, I noticed that the seam between the TPU and acrylic was coming apart. So I carefully peeled them apart all the way, and now I have a kind of DIY bumper.

It's a bit of a loose fit, since the original design was relying on the stiff acrylic for structure, but it's not terrible either. I'll try it out for a few days to see if it works.

u/Steelersnsox · 1 pointr/lgg6

This is the one that I have. I really like it and it's got covers for the headphone jack and the charging port.

u/LDLBLO · 2 pointsr/lgg6

Spigen, and others, makes a case friendly glass. The Spigen glass works well on my Spigen Armor case but not so well on the Unicorn Beetle case. Cant speak for the others.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XJFDTN7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_zRtHzbQ5CH3CR

u/gatorglaze · 3 pointsr/lgg6

I had a very similar case

LG G6 Case, Caseology [Parallax Series] Slim Dual Layer Protective Textured Geometric Cover Corner Cushion Design [Black] for LG G6 (2017) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W2GGNNH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_6z3Qzb6FAQ9MZ

Was an awesome case but I ultimately ended up using a tpu slim case with dust caps for the headphone and charging ports.

LG G6 / G6 Plus Case, Ringke [Air] [Attached Dust Cap] Ultimate Ergonomic Resilient Weightless as Air, Extreme Featherweight Supple TPU Scratch Resistant Sturdy Protective Cover - Smoke Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZCOSWH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xB3QzbPG8BJCV

1: Spigen Thin Fit case

2: I don't know

3: I don't think so

4: There is a + sign that appears inside the battery if I remember correctly and on the lockscreen, it will say Fast charging or charging rapidly

u/SaintCarl27 · 3 pointsr/lgg6

I ordered a Unicorn Beetle and I like it almost more than the phone.

I bought a Speigen case on Amazon for $11 and i think that's pretty thin.

u/vacuum22 · 1 pointr/lgg6

Try a thinner case, or no case as the heat will dissipate better.

u/Megamanfre · 3 pointsr/lgg6

If you line otter box, go for the unicorn beetle. A third the price and essentially the exact same protection.

Edit: it's currently $17 on Amazon.

u/waylo88 · 1 pointr/lgg6

I'm a fan of slim cases that don't have a lot going on. I picked up the Diztronic case from Amazon for $10. It's slim, fits the phone well, and has a nice matte finish on it. Probably not the most protection when it comes to drops, but I mainly was worried about the back glass getting scratched so this does a great job.

For people afraid of breaking anything else on their phone I have found that using a 3-pole extension cable will eliminate this issue.

Something similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/KabelDirekt-Headset-Extension-Cable-female/dp/B00RXNUR8M

u/pewnflap · 2 pointsr/lgg6

I tried it with mine and I still had issues intermittently. At the suggestion of someone I can remember, i purchased a "4-pole" extension cable

I haven't had a single issue in three months.

u/rusrslythatdumb · 2 pointsr/lgg6

I've never seen any that have a cutout for the logo.

Anyway, I have the Spigen two pack, it stretches to the bottom.

u/phphulk · 2 pointsr/lgg6

Sorry $12 now

u/Ansagos · 1 pointr/lgg6

Sorry, I lied, it's not actually a bumper case (apparently) - this is what I have: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MUA5H52/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Just a slim case that covers the back and sides.

u/bukithd · 2 pointsr/lgg6

Tylt vu is by far my favorite.

TYLT VU Qi Wireless Phone Charging Pad: 3 Coil Stand & Fast Battery Charger Station for Compatible Galaxy Note Lumia Droid DNA LG Google & Android Cell Phones (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DG8NUC8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_L0Swzb15RKMM4

I also have ankers charger but it is single coil so it is finicky on placement. It charges as fast as whichever adapter is used. I also us a QC 3.0 charger on that

Anker Fast Wireless Charger Charging Pad for Galaxy Note 5, S7/S7 edge/S6/S6 edge/S6 edge+, Nexus 4/5/6/7, LG G3 and Other Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KJL4XNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_w4SwzbYZQH0SS

The anker is faster, both gave fairly low heat input, I have the anker on my desk and the tylt vu at work.

u/zaozo · 1 pointr/lgg6

Using the Maxboost mSnap, super cheap, super thin. Only got a case because I hated how slippery this phone is, so I wanted the most thin case I could find, and this was perfect. Matte finish does everything you need to not make it feel so slippery.

Only thing you could maybe call a downside is it doesn't cover the top and bottom of the phone, but at the same time you'll have no problems plugging in accessories.
