Currently using the Spigen Liquid Crystal Case and a screen protector that now has bad reviews even tho for me it's working amazing. Not sure what's about some tempered glass protectors, they seam to start with great reviews and end up with a lot of complains. Any ways here are the links for both. I'm not fully behind the tempered glass cus of reviews but Spigen has always been my go too for cases.

Spigen Liquid Crystal LG V30 / LG V30+ Case with Slim Protection and Premium Clarity for LG V30 / V30 Plus (2017) - Crystal Clear

LG V30 Screen Protector, Wtbone - Ultra Clear / Bubble Free / Scratch Resistant / Easy to Install Tempered Glass Screen Protector For LG V30 / LG V30+ / LG V30 Plus - Black

u/Dakupo · 1 pointr/lgv30

I've used the Cubevit protector since I got the phone. It's cheap for a 2pk, which is nice in case you're unhappy with the install. It's a wet installation, but pretty easy. It even sticks on the curved edges with no issue and is case friendly.

Honestly, are they any consistently well reviewed/good screen protectors for this phone? I couldn't find anything with many ratings and a high average on amazon. New phone, so that could change.

Right now I don't know if I should get this one from Omoton:

I like the look of the spigen cases without a front screen protector, but I'm not certain if the separate screen protectors are any good.

Anybody here have the i-Blason case with the built in screen protector?

I've had similar cases on different phones before, and they are generally a bit bulky for my preference, but if all the screen protectors are bubbling and getting dust underneath, a case like this might be the best option...

u/uberamd · 1 pointr/lgv30

I too don't like cases, but this one is super thin and has a sandpaper feel on the outside:

Been using it a few weeks, pretty great.

This is the exact one I bought but only because I was able to get it the same day at the time I ordered it. This one is slightly less in price. It will likely still be locked to T-Mobile though. I was under the impression that MetroPCS worked on the T-Mobile service though? Did you even try the MetroPCS SIM card in it? Sometimes you need to do a factory reset while the SIM card is inserted for it to activate.

I ordered this case mainly because I'm pretty broke right now but just need a case ASAP before Friday. I like that it's slim but probably won't give a ton of protection like the OtterBox case but it's too bulky for my liking. It will at least have some grip to it and all the nasty fingerprints on the glass back won't be an issue anymore lol. I will definitely get a tempered glass screen protector next.

The Unicorn Beetle by Supcase always gets great reviews and is probably the closest alternative to an Otter Box, and also more aesthetically pleasing, IMO. My bf had it on his G4 when he had it, and it did a great job protecting it and wasn't too cumbersome; I would say definitely less than an otterbox.

Cubevit LG V30 Screen Protector, [Updated Version] [Case Friendly] [2 Pack] Screen Protector for LG V30, Full Coverage / Easy to Install / Bubble Free

I got it for mine and its one of thise protectors that heal its self or what ever. Great buy. Love it.

u/zooloo10 · 1 pointr/lgv30

I got the IQ shield water applied one. Comes with two so you can mess one up lol. Took me two tries with one protector, but it worked great, no bubbles or discoloring. Took me like 15 mins total to apply it. edges are perfect even with the spiegen case on.

u/GameeNoobster · 2 pointsr/lgv30

Ringke Fusion is the way to go if you want to still see your back, great for dbrand and slickwraps skins, also not too pricey either, it's protected my phone for about 3 months of a clumsy lifestyle. P.S. The smokey Black version won't have wierd yellowing and it looks great with the black v30.

Spigen Liquid Crystal LG V30/LG V30 Plus case - Crystal Clear

Fits great. Good grip. Clear. I don't use a screen protector.

u/ChefDavidRodriguez · 2 pointsr/lgv30

Just got this. LG V30 case , LG V30 Plus case , Best Alice Smoothly Frosted Matte Shield Hard Cover Skin Ultra Thin Slim Fit Case Full Body Protective Scratch Resistant Slip Resistant Cover , Black
It's really nice. Thinner than the Bear motion. Closer to the peel and mnml cases.

u/abhizone · 1 pointr/lgv30

I'm using SupCase - Unicorn Beatle variant and it's the best looking case IMO.
Here is the link in case anyone is interested.

Add iRing Pocket to it.

u/Jsauce75 · 1 pointr/lgv30

Been rocking this since day 1. I like it a lot and not bulky.

Spigen Liquid Crystal LG V30/LG V30 Plus case/LG V30S Case with Slim Protection and Premium Clarity for LG V30/V30 Plus/V30S (2017) - Crystal Clear

u/Istartedthewar · 3 pointsr/lgv30

This is what I'm using

As long as you're careful and spend time installing it, it's a great screen protector. Comes with two which is nice.

I tried using a tempered glass screen protector, but due to the curved edges the screen protector didn't cover it very well.

u/nx_2000 · 11 pointsr/lgv30

I have the Spigen Liquid Crystal case that I'm happy with. It's successfully absorbed a few drops onto hard flooring.

u/br0adband · 1 pointr/lgv30

The Tudia cases are quite nice, have dimpled sides for extra grip, cover everything that needs to be covered, provides spacing from the front glass and camera assembly on the back, under $8. You could do worse and pay more, save a few bucks and get a decent one:

Yes, I have two of 'em, blue for the Wife's V30, black for mine. I also use the Skinomi matte anti-fingerprint anti-glare full screen protectors as well, can't recommend 'em enough:

u/CarbonUnit8472 · 2 pointsr/lgv30

I have this one currently and I really enjoy it. Just as good as the OtterBox options and much cheaper price.

u/SpeedySid · 2 pointsr/lgv30

I was disappointed that T-Mobile (previously) only sold the V30 in silver (really wanted the not-for--the-US blue model). Now I'm finally happy with the way the phone looks.

Ringke Fusion case in smoke black edges, clear back. TPU case without slippery edges FTW.
Silver back hidden by dbrand CF skin.

Also snuck in a 1/2 CTO gel filter over the flash LED as I always like the lighting to be warmer, regardless of the ambient lighting condition.

u/AlekosPanagulis · 2 pointsr/lgv30

Yes. I bought this one: and it works. You have to do the following: 1) plug extension cable in the phone without headphone 2) insert headphone 3) enjoy

u/Blown89 · 2 pointsr/lgv30

I have the bear motion case from Amazon. $9, very slim, lots of grip. The phone naked is far too slippery and I didn't want to add bulk so this was the best I found:

u/an_old_methuselah · 3 pointsr/lgv30

Don't know if it would solve your problem, but I ordered this TRSS cable to force the DAC into high impedance and it sounds much better. But in general, I have no idea what I'm doing with this phone, and probably should have gotten a Jitterbug. So take my advice with a grain of salt. FosPower (4 Inch) 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm Female Auxiliary 4-Conductor TRRS Stereo Audio Extension Cable [24K Gold Plated Connectors] for Apple, Samsung, Motorola, HTC, Nokia, LG, Sony & More

Edit: XDA fiscussion: Different modes in the Quad Dac?

Edit2: You may be able to find a TRRS cable at Sam Ash or Guitar Center locally at most certainly an inflated price.

u/Mystic5523 · 1 pointr/lgv30

If you only want USB-C

If you want both:

But if you're wanting something to use at work, I would go for this. It's not quick charge, but its fast enough and still keeps your phone easy to see while sitting out of the way.

This one was perfect. OMOTON LG V30 Screen Protector [2-Pack] - OMOTON [Cover Curved Edges] [Case Friendly] [High Responsivity] Wet Applied HD Screen Protector for LG V30

u/twojs1b · 4 pointsr/lgv30

I got this one from Amazon it doesn't interfere with by wireless charger.

LG V30 Case, SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Series Premium Hybrid Protective Clear Case for LG V30, LG V30s, LG V35,LG V35 ThinQ,LG V30 Plus 2017 Release, Retail Package (Black/Black)

u/EDDIE_BR0CK · 1 pointr/lgv30

Omoton . It's $11 for a 2 pack, pretty cheap. It was easy enough to apply.

It's starting to get a few indents and marks on it after a couple weeks, but at that price, it's cheap insurance.

As mentioned, I'm kind of holding out for a cheaper wet-apply TP option.

u/pongalong · 3 pointsr/lgv30

I've got a few cases and I like this one for slim protection, feels good in the hands too. Obviously thinner cases provide less protection. This should handle some drops but I wouldn't count on it for screen protection.

u/wreckedred · 2 pointsr/lgv30

Hey OP - I like this one and have multiple.

u/JohannesVanDerWhales · 1 pointr/lgv30

I have this Spigen one, and I've been happy with it. Sturdy but not too bulky.

u/BizzyM · 3 pointsr/lgv30

those corners look bad. Did you heat it up at all? Those are going to peel off in a matter of no time.

I'd recommend putting a clear case on it to protect the skin. That's what I've done. Spigen.

u/thouguy · 12 pointsr/lgv30

I have a Spigen black case that has done well for protection.

u/npontus · 3 pointsr/lgv30

I got the IQ shield one on Amazon. I pretty much exclusively used glass protectors prior to this one since they were as close to the feeling of not having one on as you could get, but I am not a fan of the ones that do not have full adhesive. Since not protecting this expensive hardware is not an option for me I figured what the hell, let's give wet application a try again. I love it so far.

LG V30 Case, SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Series Premium Hybrid Protective Clear

No port flaps

I bought the GSM unlocked version so I could go from T-Mobile to MetroPCS.

LG V30 Screen Protector (Case Friendly)[2-Pack], Skinomi MatteSkin Full Coverage Screen Protector for LG V30 (LG V30S ThinQ/LG V30S+ ThinQ) Anti-Glare and Bubble-Free Shield

u/j0ntar · 2 pointsr/lgv30

This case is cheap as fuck, thin, classy and very minimalistic. I get compliments on it often.

Best Alice for LG V30/LG V30 Plus/LG V30S ThinQ/LG V35/LG V35 ThinQ Phone Case, Smoothly Frosted Matte Shield Hard Cover Skin Ultra Thin Slim Fit Case Full Body Protective Cover, Black

Note: it does protect decently from scratching and light drops. I buy two at a time as a drop can damage the case, which is what I want...the case to break not my phone. I don't like to ruin the feel of a phone with a thick ugly ass unbreakable case. I have also snagged the corners a few times.

u/amijeremy · 6 pointsr/lgv30

Is this code country specific? Not working in US

Edit: Works with this case the link on the site is wrong.

u/Jackandrun · 1 pointr/lgv30

I was thinking about getting this, but negative reviews say that it doesn't protect the edges.

Spigen Tough Armor LG V30 / LG V30+ Case with Kickstand and Extreme Heavy Duty Protection and Air Cushion Technology for LG V30 / V30 Plus (2017) - Black

Do you also have a glass screen protector under yours? And is there any conflict with the case?
