Amazon Macbook Cable
This is the cable I bought from Amazon with pretty decent reviews...I do not believe it was made from China. I've also ran tests to check on the HDD and so far it's seems to be good.
When I run the AHT, it always gets stuck while testing the logicboard though.

Batteries are always going to be hit and miss. Just check reviews.
That said, those MacBook models are notorious for developing GPU issues. I'd be wary about putting money into it unless you absolutely have to.
unfortunately if the alcohol doesn't work there are not any other solutions as far as i'm aware, it could be liquid damage, or track damage, button damage or cable damage none of them really fixable without a keyboard replacement.
keyboard replacement on a retina mac is not very nice because you need to take everything out of the mac including the glued battery without breaking it then. basicly rip the keyboard out pulling as many rivets out as possible then replace the keyboard swapping out the rivets for screws. i've done it a few times and i don't enjoy it may places will just replace the "top case" so keyboard palmrest battery"

or maybe look into remapping the keyboard to make a useless key eg. "§" into the "-" button maybe like this https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/
