FTM here and my newborn is one week old. Obviously I don’t have a ton of experience, but our official plan is to use disposables for the NB stage, then switch to AIOs. I inherited a full stash of various brands from a friend, so haven’t used them yet.
However... I was so tempted by the cuteness of NB cloth diaps that I bought some to practice with during the newborn stage. My personal discovery is that prefolds are pretty cool and I can use a pocket diaper as a cover by just laying the prefold inside. I bought this set of 4 adorable newborn pocket diaps and a dozen prefolds to go in them for a grand total of about $40 USD. They’ve been really fun to practice with while we get through the newborn stage and have already reduced the number of disposables we otherwise would have used.
Our little one is 7 weeks and we are coming out of something similar. I have found that she stays asleep and is generally less fussy if she has gripe water or gas drops a few times a day. I'm not a huge fan of medicine so I prefer the organic gripe water but our pediatrician said both are fine and will not negatively affect her.
Some gripe water or gas drops along with a tight swaddle seem to have solved our issue about 90% of the time. I realize all babies are different and everyone has a different opinion on giving the baby anything other than BM or formula, but if she's happy I'm happy.
Also: the swaddle me pods Link seemed to help with the hands waking her up when she wasn't swaddled. It gave her enough room to move them a bit but stopped her from flailing of hitting herself in the face.
Best of luck
We started using Merlin’s Magic sleep suits when we had this problem. Works great because their arms are free for intentional movement, but the suit is restricting enough to prevent twitches for startling them.

Also, Velcro sleep sacks work great too for a while. Ours figured out how to break free of those too though.
Yay glad I could be helpful! We looked at the snoo but tried something cheaper to start and it worked:

We got some halo sleep sacks on our registry but they were too big so purchased these:

I'm not here yet, but I've heard good things about this book- https://www.amazon.com/Twelve-Hours-Sleep-Weeks-Step/dp/0525949593
Basically, follow these steps, in order, and not moving on from one until the last is complete:
1- Feed 4 times during the day, every 4 hours (upon waking, 4 hours later, 4 hours later, and 4 hours later, then bedtime). Night feed as needed until this is done.
2- After the schedule in 1 is established, reduce the nighttime feedings in volume until they are eliminated. At this point, the child will be in the crib for 12 hours straight at night, only soothing if they've been crying for 3-5 minutes.
3- Once nighttime feedings are eliminated, train daytime naps: 1 hour in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon.

We used those instead of wipes. Just get them wet when you need them.
A&D Treat was the magic cream for us. I heard it’s different for everyone. For my friend it was Butt Paste. Just go to target and pick one and give it a few days to see if it works.
I’d encourage you to consider diaper changes more often (1.5 hrs), but no wiping unless needed. Or let your baby go without a diaper for some time. Obviously that’s asking for trouble. We laid the baby on top of unused puppy pee pads (the cheap medical equivalent) and let that booty air out.
Don’t feel bad about the diaper rash. It happens to all of us. Good luck!
I recently learned that breastfed babies are typically Vitamin D deficient. My pediatrician recommended a dropper of this daily.
I used Mustela micellar water on my newborn when she was around 6 weeks old. It’ll look worse for the first few days, and within a week it disappeared! Mustela No Rinse Cleansing Water, Micellar Water Cleanser for Baby, 10.14 Fl Oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AZ37W20/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XxeFDb03EA4RF. It’s pricier but it worked for us. Just add one or two pumps to a cotton pad and wipe it on your LO’s face once or twice a day
My son was the same. It’s to be expected. It’s a baby and everything is new and scary. She wants to feel your warmth and hear your heartbeats. My husband and I were hallucinating from no sleep. We ended up taking shifts and introducing a bottle earlier because we were worried for all of our health. Don’t give up on the bassinet. Keep trying even if she does wake up every time, she’ll sleep a little longer in the bassinet each time. Our LO is 7 weeks now and I wake up every night because he’s slept too long and I get scared something is wrong. Lol. Either way no sleep.
Edit: I should clarify the bottle we used was recommended by our lactation consultant. Tommy tippee or baby Brezza so that he wouldn’t have nipple confusion. my husband would feed him pumped milk. He still prefers breastfeeding to this day over the bottle, but it helped give me time to sleep a few hours and for my husband to take over! I also ordered these swaddles. Our son would bust out of every swaddle we put him in because he wanted his arms up by his face. These were a life saver.
