Basically any SRE advice for a normal service but replace/compliment HAproxy / nginx / ingress controller / ELB with the Tor daemon / OnionBalance.

I run Ablative Hosting and we have a few people who value uptime over anonymity etc and so we follow the usual processes for keeping stuff online.

Have multiples of everything (especially stuff that doesn't keep state), ensure you have monitoring of everything from connections, memory pressure, open files, free RAM etc etc.

Just think of the Tor daemon onion service as just a TCP reverse proxy, with load-balancing capability and then follow any other advice when it comes to building reliable infrastructure;

Depression can lower your metabolism and cause weight gain. It can also mess with the part of your brain that deals with how full you feel (satiety). I don't want to go in to too much detail (sorry it's in my bones, I study neuroscience) but the chemical in our brains that makes us feel happy is called serotonin. If we don't have enough we can become depressed. There's a natural supplement called 5-HTP (you can buy it from any health/supplement store). Usually it's in our food and our guts take it in and our brains turn 5htp in to serotonin. If you take a supplement of it, our brains can make more serotonin. It's very safe.

Anyway they have studied it and another benefit is that it makes you feel fuller for longer and you eat less. Maybe give it a go? Cheap and safe.

>but what's the point of not making the snowball hit the bottom?

Because I've been exactly where you are, and can with 100% confidence say that it is totally possible to turn things around and live a happy life.

I like thinkpads a lot but there’s also the Lenovo Legion.

Lenovo Legion Y520 Gaming Laptop - i7-7700HQ, 16GB RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB), FHD IPS 1920x1080 (Renewed) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LFLGSVS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_V8KCDb27X9RWP

You can get them cheaper than this and they’re very powerful for, everything. I’ve had this one and now have a much more powerful one, never let me down in programming/coding/gaming for years upon years

Yes. This is a great site for Steam Gift Cards.

Using Tor for something you are not familiar with is not a smart idea.

Tor doesn't really lend itself to books as it's ever changing. However I always recommend people read Crypto.

If you want to read some papers about privacy and anonymitity check out this link.

This one is "the most controversial book since The Anarchist Cookbook "

It could be really slow, in both throughput and latency. And you may be breaking your providers TOS by using FoxFi. So if 4G is your only source of Internet connectivity, it might be a bad idea to risk loosing it.

Consider finding someone that you can connect to via wireless on 2.4 GHz that does have access to a high speed Internet connection. (reviews for this claim a distance of over 5 miles sometimes)

> if you are a public figure and insult a group of people that has nothing to do with free speech.

But it does, it's just not protected speech in your country. In some countries blasphemy isn't protected speech, and people in those countries would argue that insulting the prophet has nothing to do with free speech.

Westbro Baptist would be locked up in much of Europe for saying what they say about gay people, as would Malcom X for inciting racial violence. The USA doesn't have that restriction because speech is constitutionally protected. I'm not American but from what I understand they permit everything just shy of criminal conspiracy.

Here in the UK mere possession of The Anarchist Cookbook is a crime, selling it is a crime in much of Europe, but Americans are free to compare notes on what type of pipe bomb has the most effective killing power.
