I just bought a book at MidAtlantic in February and I LOVE it. It's the Mazzanti daily practice method for Piccolo (I 100% double duty it and use it for flute too because it's that versatile.) http://www.amazon.com/Mazzanti-Method-Daily-Exercises-Piccolo/dp/1598066978
With piccolo it is even more important to remember....
You cannot practice tone without also practicing intonation. The earlier you start working with a tuner the more controlled your sound will be and you won't have to go back and learn how to play in tune. The Mazzanti book covers all of this: technique, tone, intonation, EVERYTHING in one book.

if you want some super nice ones i know there are places where you can get a mold of your ear done and have an earplug the exact shape of your ear but i bet those are expensive
