Oh I thought you meant like the canisters to refill a torch, your using actual tanks.
I thought for the tanks there is a tool you can use to depressurize and open to ensure they are safe to dispose.

I've owned two of these things and they are the shit.
Sharp, durable, tight screen, magnetic lid, cheap...
I can't really find any downsides with it other than after awhile of usage the outside turns from silver to copper... big whoop.
