The vast majority of people report precognitive dreams when they were young (starting in preteen years), but then it declines with age. When I studied my own 332 precognitive dreams in The Oneironauts, I found that many are related to novel learning experiences -- seeing or hearing something new that is puzzling and causes you to focus attention. I recommended walking slowly through new spaces that you've never been to before, e.g., public buildings, and pausing to contemplate what you are looking at. The creative work of other people is another good trigger, such as art or story-telling. Travel is also highly correlated to precognitive dreams because it presents very many new experiences. You might even favor AirBnB-type of accommodations because each has a unique character whereas hotel rooms are rather generic. Of course, spending time to review your dreams every day and write them down is very important. I would recommend writing them down on paper or a well-established app like Microsoft Word because a lot of newer apps on phones or tablets become obsolete in just a few years and you might lose everything that you recorded.

The best thing you can do for yourself is get this amazing book and figure out what your dreams are telling you. The Dream Game Used copies are very cheep.

I thought this review for the book was spot on: "This book is the most practical and easy to use dream interpretation book I have ever come across. I have read many books over the years, and this is the only one which teaches you to personalise your dream interpretation instead of just referring you to a dream dictionary, which is not much better than a generic horoscope in the daily times. It truly demystifies your dreams. I have got more out of the knowledge this book teaches than consulting a Jungian therapist with my dreams. Well worth it."
