A Pandora battery is for if you accidentally screw up your system you can enter the system service mode so unless you have an issue there's really no point, plus they can be a little hard to find. In term of how to hack it if you want a permanent custom firmware use this method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZB7MQCeKkU

For games once you install the custom firmware you can change the usb settings to ISO in the custom firmware menu and actually rip you games you have into files to keep on the system storage. In terms of storage get this adapter and a micro SD card https://www.amazon.com/UCEC-Micro-Memory-Stick-Adapter/dp/B06XHPS43Q/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=BMM31ZM4XBBC&keywords=psp+memory+stick+adapter&qid=1550845163&s=electronics&sprefix=psp+memory+stick+adap%2Celectronics%2C140&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1 64 GB should be more than enough, just make sure you get a class 10 card for write speed purposes.

In terms of where to get some ISOs you can use https://romsmania.cc (just be careful which download button you are hitting)

Finally in terms of emulators try Wololo.net (again just be careful which download you hit, if you are not sure which one try hitting Ctrl + F and type download in the bar it will show you the downloads that are actual text on the page)

With all of that you should be good to go, just remember some psp games will require you to change the type of driver to play but they are all included in the custom firmware so its just a matter of hitting select and choosing the right driver.

Disregard my comment, I read too fast and didn't see the GO after psp.

You need a cr photosmart adapter or something similar that will take the micro sd. It is the shape of the pro duo card for your psp.

Edit: Obviously shop around on amazon or your preferred online store, I just provided this link to show what it is, the price is ridiculous. I got one for about 6 bucks from amazon, I would suggest buying a few, as you might get one that doesn't work.

What you do is put the card in the adapter, then in the psp, then using the psp's xmb, format the card from the handheld itself. It will set the card up for you to then hook up to a pc to transfer files to it.

I have 2 16 gb cards (1 adapter takes 2 cards) for a total of 32 gb on my psp 3000.

Good luck.

I recently found my old PSP 2001 and am running the latest CFW.

I'm using this exact adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/Funturbo-MagicGate-Playstation-Portable-Handycam/dp/B07F68FCHD/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1549954935&sr=8-1-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=sony+memory+stick+pro+duo+to+micro+sd&psc=1

Along with a 128GB SanDisk Extreme:
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-Extreme-microSD-Adapter/dp/B07FCMKK5X/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1549955208&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=SanDisk+128gb&dpPl=1&dpID=41Ob2mex0pL&ref=plSrch

Both have been working flawlessly for me with about 50GBs of ISOs so far and a handful of PSX games.

The only way I transfer data to it is direct. Power off the PSP completely -> remove adapter -> pull card -> insert in decent quality microSD card reader.

MiniUSB works but it's SO SLOW. About 5MBps versus 35MBps.

This should work. I ordered one from Amazon a few years back and it still works

LUTIONS White Pro Duo Dual Slot Memory Stick Adapter for Sony PSP Card 2 Dual slot adapter Converter (microSD to microSDHC) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZ67Q0Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_iSKPCb7MDZC8G

Get one of these and use two SD cards for however much memory you want.

I can't fully speak to it's reliability because I haven't been able to use it much yet, but it charged and runs on its own off the battery. The reviews aren't the best but there don't seem to be many good reviews for PSP batteries out there with all the fakes.

This is it: Insten Compatible With SONY PSP...
