Eh... I can not, in good conscience, reccomend you read the Newest Series by Wildstorm. It is not very good, that is the kindest way I can put it.

The Original Series however, I can say is a fun read if you take it for what it is: Good, light hearted fun. There are a few good stories, I especially like the one involving "John", Ada's so called lover.

Now, Fire and Ice is a bit crap... but I like it more than the Newest series.

And the Code: Veronica books are arguably the best, they're an adaptation of the game and the Artwork is pretty good. I only have Volume 1, but there are four volumes to it.

Anyway, hope that was a little helpful!

Any legal way of getting RE1? You are shooting yourself in the foot by limiting out the physical and digital versions. These are the only legal means of obtaining the game.

You can get RE1 for PC used on Amazon or PC, but since it's old it will be priced high. Your cheapest bet would be REmake for $19.99 on Steam. However, I'd say RE1 1996 PC version is worth it because it has the uncensored opening and features the ability to skip door animations.

Thanks. Looks like there is a PS3 version as well. I need a disk. I don't have enough room on my PS3 and don't have a PS4.

I would not recommend getting it for the PC, unless you have other means of acquiring it. It's expensive, and probably doesn't run correctly under modern versions of windows. http://www.amazon.com/Resident-Evil-2-Platinum-Pc/dp/B00002SUDC

I would personally recommend the n64 version if you can find it and own an n64.

Sure absolutely 😊.

The information is spread amongst the T-002 and the T-103 pages I'll be sure to put the links and any other information I think is interesting.

[T-002 page.] (https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Tyrant_(T-002_Model))

>”The T-002 was the first successful development of the Tyrant Project, an Umbrella USA R&D project that sought to create enhanced human bio-weapons intelligent and strong enough to fully replace soldiers on the front lines. The project was stalled for years due to the rarity of a certain gene for intelligence, which allowed infected humans to mutate differently from Zombies. Such individuals were, themselves, likely to die during the mutation, rendering Tyrant impractical to create at the time.[2]”

>”In 1998, the finalisation of the Arklay Laboratory's improved strain, Epsilon, which began mutating the host's body almost instantly, gave the team the opportunity to create such a weapon, though emergency surgery was necessary for the project.[2] At least convicts with beneficial genetic traits had already been located by Umbrella, and they were brought over to the lab to take part in the project. Due to the severity of the mutations, all but one of the participants perished.[2]”

>”Development of T-002 was cut-short when the t-Virus escaped containment during the surgical procedure. Consequently, no written report was completed, and the B.O.W. itself received no new bodily improvements.[2] Cloned embryos of T-002 were successfully evacuated by Dr. Albert Wesker during a visit, but the Tyrant itself was not evacuated when the quarantine was raised. In July, Dr. Wesker was given orders to destroy it during his S.T.A.R.S. team's investigation of the above mansion, but instead released it from containment with the knowledge it could attack him.[3] After stabbing Dr. Wesker, it turned its attention to the other S.T.A.R.S. survivors, and was finally killed by a rocket launcher on the laboratory helipad.[4]”

[T-103 page.] (https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Tyrant_(T-103_Model)

>”Development of the T-103 took place in May 1998 after successful development of the Tyrant T-002. Like other B.O.W.s in the Arklay Laboratory, an embryonic clone of the T-002 was created and evacuated from the facility by Dr. William Birkin shortly after the t-virus outbreak. Development focusing on improvements was conducted in the Umbrella Underground Laboratory beneath Raccoon City in an attempt to overcome the T-002's fatal flaw of going out of human control and gaining a sense of self after being left alone for several months. Following completion, the T-103 entered mass-production at the Tyrant Plant on Sheena Island. Several experimental variants were developed from this new model.”

This bit is just purely speculation.

I think umbrella worked out the tyrant project problems with the convict/war criminal test subjects, then the tyrants that showed up in raccoon city were the clones of Vladimir.

I think after the last prototype T-002 was created in may of 1998 and then put in storage, they started the process on an embryo of Sergei which explains why there was an embryo there in the first place.

Back to the T-002.

>”At least convicts with beneficial genetic traits had already been located by Umbrella, and they were brought over to the lab to take part in the project. Due to the severity of the mutations, all but one of the participants perished.[2]”

I think the surviving test subject was a fully conscious and mentally developed test subject and not a clone because it knew who Wesker was and knew and remembered Wesker was one of the people who experimented on him.

This is why the tyrant tries to kill Wesker, it was attempting to gain revenge on its torture, pain is a great motivator......till it lost its sanity and the base instincts kicked in.

Also Sergei gave his permission for ten clones in exchange for his executive position in umbrella, those clones were definitely created by umbrella not the Soviet Union.

Umbrella had been cloning reptile embryos for Hunters and Doberman Pinschers for the Cerberus project for a while so it's in their wheelhouse.

There's actually lots of information regarding the genesis of the virus throughout the series. Checkout Resident Evil Archives, not to be confused with the spinoff games by the same name. If you do any amount of reading or listening to the story throughout the games, you'll know that the t-virus was not created using las plagas or their spores; it came from the progenitor virus, which was ultimately derived from the flowers in RE5.

They're actually going to re-release the books soon with new covers:
Underworld - City of the Dead - Nemesis - Umbrella Conspiracy - Caliban Cove

I remember arguing a couple of years ago that the Idea of the Ganados and the Majini was borrowed from Caliban Cove where they had zombies that were trained to be basic ground troops and could carry weapons and use them.
