S.T.A.L.K.E.R is loosely based on Arkady and Boris Strugatsky's 1972 Scifi novel Roadside Picnic and Andrei Tarkovsky's art house film Stalker, which itself is based on Roadside Picnic and shares its name with the game series. There is an English translation of the book available and the movie is available with English subtitles.

I would recommend looking into both of them. I found the novel very interesting, especially because it was written under the USSR. The film is also very good, but definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea.

I found this one on Amazon. Also on this surplus site which is based in Europe. And it looks like some paintball/airsoft sites have more small options than most surplus websites. And here is a hooded parka on ebay in size small, which I would say is your best bet.

I've got a Bulgarian made Makarov as well. Accurate little gun though the recoil is snappy. I threw a Pearce replacement grip on mine which fits my hands much better that the stock bakelite grip and helps with overall control.

I wouldn't shoot .380 through it without changing the barrel as it can start to mess up the chamber. I'd recommend SGammo for all of your Mak food needs. They have a good selection including Hornady critical defense with standard ball ammo going for $10 a box of 50 or less if you buy bulk.

They mention STALKER and Stalker on the cover? And it has a still from Stalker... that's just awesome, I'll have to get this. I heard the original translation wasn't that good.

If you're a reader, and love Zone Fiction, you might consider checking out Jeff Vandermeer's Southern Reach trilogy, especially the first book or two, Annihilation and Authority. The backdrop is a mysterious, anomalous Zone cordoned off by secret government agencies and explored by repeated, failed expeditions, and this Zone is in and around Georgia and North Florida.

The author says he was inspiried by lots of hikes and nature walks he took in the area. You may find it's right in your wheelhouse. Very creepy, very Zone Fiction + Weird Nature.
