Here's your homework/entrance exam: purchase and watch this series on each of our Super Bowls. They are beautifully done and do a great job of capturing the emotions of those seasons.

Here are two of them to whet your appetite, our first and (my favorite) the 2005 season.

Let the 60s timer run out and the video will play:

1974

2005

Watch these videos so you get the loyalty between these players we have today. Watch any interview with any of our players from the newer additions like D-Will to the aging vets like Ben and Harrison. They absolutely love being a part of this team and it's a huge reason why we've had the success that we do.

You just reminded me of my favorite piece of Steelers merch I've ever seen. My two Pittsburgh native friends have this adorable soap dispenser shaped like a Steelers player in their bathroom. It's so absurdly silly looking, and I love it.

Oh wow, I actually found it on Amazon! I'm surprised, because they said they got it more than a decade ago from a local shop in Pittsburgh.

Here's a good place to start. http://www.steelers.com/history/index.html

If you're super serious, I'd also recommend this. http://www.amazon.co.uk/History-Pittsburgh-Steelers-Region-NTSC/dp/B0009NSCSU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453054569&sr=8-1&keywords=history+of+the+steelers

Feel free to PM me with any questions if you need. Always ready to help out a member of Steeler Nation.

Did you take these OP? They're awesome. You might benefit from one of these but they're still awesome either way.

If you're into reading, this biography of Johnny U is really good.

There's a bunch of good Steelers books out there too. I'm sure folks will be along to recommend them shortly.

  1. get the Chief. It is a one man play staring Tom Atkins. I have seen it live twice and have the DVD. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1737253/
  2. Pittsburgh Steelers the Complete History (made in 2005 preseason). https://www.amazon.com/Pittsburgh-Steelers-Complete-Terry-Bradshaw/dp/B0009NSCSU
  3. the Super Bowl DVDs.

edit: Seriously, don't sleep on "the Chief". It is fantastic.

Wow, you really are clueless about football. Having to resort to pathetic grammatical nitpicking is pretty sad.

Good luck in your efforts to learn more about the game though! Here's a good book to get you started.

The Chris Mullens' socks are sweet! I gotta give AB props for being a BBall junkie.

As a fellow Steeler fan in Texas (with a Terrible Towel near my office window), I sprayed a heavy coating of this on it. Seems to be holding up just fine.
