Alright, finally back in town. I take one a day of this:

200mcg, but depending on your own use it might be different. Bonus points for not being expensive! The 200mcg by itself did plenty for me, so I would definitely start there.

Best of luck, hope it goes well!

Hello!! Not to encourage bad habits.....But you could also just eat very dark chocolate. Since I quit sugar I can eat 80-90% dark chocolate and am fine with it :) 5g of sugar won't kill ya! And honestly these are big chunks so I usually only eat two with a side of nuts (mixed or almonds) so 2.5g of sugar DEFINITELY won't kill you.

This one is my favourite: https://www.amazon.com/Ghirardelli-Chocolate-Intense-Midnight-3-17-Ounce/dp/B001G0MG2I

Edit to say: If you're swearing it off as in not indulging AT ALL -- Then nuts are a great go to! And oddly enough, broth satisfies my cravings sometimes.

Sweet Jam with Stevia by Good Good is sweetened with Stevia. It’s still a sweetener, but is way better than cane sugar and I find that a little bit of stevia doesn’t make me have cravings like some other sweeteners do. I hope my link works (I’ve never linked from reddit before) :

Well, actually I have another blog post about why I wanted to do a 7-day water fast:

https://fastingforhealth.org/2016/08/22/why-i-want-to-attempt-a-7-day-water-fast/

Regarding the scientific basis, there are actually a lot of good books out now regarding this topic. Here's one, for example:

If you have a sugar addiction yourself, I highly recommend doing some research yourself and attempting a 7-day water fast. I can only speak from my own experience, but it has literally been a huge surprise for me! I actually didn't do the 7-day fast with the expectation of curing my sugar addiction. It was an unexpected benefit.

I read the book "The Case Against Sugar" by Gary Taubes. Lots of information, other sources, and motivated me to continue without sugar.

The mix still has sugar and a bunch of BS that is anti health. If you must pancake, this is the better option : available cheap at target
