• You have read correctly. The Gift Mix is the only Mix that does not require any other Tamagotchis to unlock all of its content.

  Gimmick
  
  To MIX! Unlike other Tamagotchi, you only raise a “pure” Tamagotchi, such as Kuchipatchi or Lovelitchi, on the very first generation. After that, you need to unlock other destinations and meet the Tamagotchi that live there. You marry a Tama in your game or you can marry the Tama in a friend’s Tamagotchi when you connect with them. You then raise the baby, which will be a MIX of the parents. What will your baby look like?!
  
  
  Differences?
  
  A LOT. They have different games and lots of different locations and characters.

  In the top row, you can see the first generation characters exclusive to each version, remember, the only way to get those First Gen characters is to raise them. Those aren’t the only two or three you can get on the first gen, just the exclusive ones. (For example, I raised a Lovelitchi on my Sanrio and a Mametchi on my Anniversary Gift)
  
  
  Do I need multiple devices to get everything?
  
  Yes. To unlock Mermaid Palace, you must connect with 3 other Tamagotchi. To unlock Gozaru Village, you need an item from Mermaid Palace. Thus, if you cannot unlock Mermaid Palace, you’re out two destinations. You can connect to other Mix or to Meets.
  
  
  However Tamagotchi 20th Anniversary GIFT Mix (with Present Land and Santaclautchi) does NOT need any other Tamagotchi to unlock all of its content.

  I heard something about a “reset trick?”
  
  That means you have two Tamagotchi that can connect to each other and you simply reset one of them multiple times to meet the unlock requirements. So, if I have one Mix and want to unlock Mermaid Palace, I can reset my second Mix or a Meets three times, each time connecting with my Mix.
  
  
  What’s the Mix station?
  
  Japan Only. You would visit a store with a Station and connect your Tamagotchi to obtain special downloads like wallpapers and games.
  
  Pause?
  
  Send a child character to the daycare, parents’ house, or do the “time trick” where you open the clock to reset the time, and… just leave it unset until you’re ready to play.

OKAY, SO... yes, you're correct.

Meets = Japanese - The different kinds are charted here. From L->R: Fairy - Magic - Pastel (blue outline for your tamagotchi) - Sanrio - Fantasy (red outline) - Sweets (coming end of this Fall)

On = North America (English) - In particular, the "Fairy" & the "Magic" ones are currently the only translated ones.

Meets = On = Some (Korean)

If you check on the side or top of this sub, you can find a "Guide Repository" (linked it for ya) that'll be a tremendous help to you.

Here's a guide list for all of the different types of Meets/On you'll want to save. This will legit answers any location / favorite item / pet / color change / growth / game questions you have.

Here's some Q/A about the differences between the apps & downloading them (1) (2), posted a few weeks ago. Youtube "how to download [insert region] apps" if you don't understand. The On device CAN work with the Meets App. Vise versa, the Meets device CAN work with the On app.

Eneloop is the best, by far. They have been the best since their introduction in the mid-2000's around 15 years ago, and to this day, nothing else even comes close. I recommend you get these ones (make sure your battery specifications match the packaging in this photo):

  You need that charger to get the full life out of Eneloops. If you take care of them, Eneloops will last at least a decade, maybe longer. They achieve maximum longevity when you charge any time before they reach 60% depth of discharge (40% remaining capacity). So, if you charge them when they're half discharged (or sooner), that's easy to remember.

Ok so I havent try this on my Tamas but seeing how the shell is plastic it might work and be a better solution than nail polish. My other hobby is building plastic models and I use a clear plastic top coat to protect them. Needless to say protect the screen with masking tape before doing that, a few light coats should do the trick. Here is what I use:

Not at all, they have several different chargers for this set of batteries.

Man I got mine when the P first came out, so this isn't the one I have but should work fine. Amazon has pretty good customer service so if it doesn't you'll probably be able to return it, easy

here is the link I plan on cutting the pocket out but other then that it’s perfect. It has a keychain attachment, hard shell exterior, and a microfiber inner lining to prevent scratching. I just wish it came in more colors!
