I live downtown too, but in the Commodore Perry, so I can't give advise on LaSalle.

However, groceries aren't too bad if you have a car. The Kroger in Oregon isn't too far, and neither if the one on Monroe by Best Buy (though it is small and cramped). I HIGHLY recommend getting a collapsible wagon though. We bought one the same week we moved in and it's been incredibly valuable for us, especially when we get heavy items like cat litter or pop.

The biggest advice I can give though is to explore. We moved in at the start of last summer and I spent almost all of my free time just walking around. Downtown isn't that large and I never had a problem with anyone being creepy. I played Pokemon Go a lot, but I also spent quite a bit of time by the water just drawing. There are a lot of interesting things in the buildings and architecture downtown that I feel a lot of people don't care about/notice.

Also! If you're not already aware, there is a pretty sweet art supply store downtown called the Art Supply Depo. It's over by Home Slice pizza. There is also Handmade Toledo in uptown and they offer some cool Toledo art and swag, but also a ton of art classes. I can't recommend both enough!

I own one of these:

https://www.7daycam.com/ddpai-dashcam/ddpai-dashcam-mini-full-hd-wifi-dash-camera-car-black-box.html

The video quality is pretty good, but there's a lot of wide angle distortion on the edges of the video. This is pretty common with a lot of dash cams since they have extremely wide angles of 140-170 degrees usually.

I believe this is a chinese dash cam someone is importing to the USA and selling, but I've had 0 issues with it. You can review footage straight from your phone, and it works pretty well. Sometimes you have to let it "buffer" the video, but you can download clips straight to the phone too. This feature is what made me look at it over others in the same price range, especially if I were to get into an accident, I could just whip out my phone and playback the evidence to a police officer.

Aukey also has a few on Amazon with good reviews too. I kind of want to try one out, but I have my current DDpai dash cam mounted with 3M tape, and it'll be a pain to remove! I might grab one for a "rear camera" in case someone were to rear end me at a red light.

EDIT: Xoami also makes the Yi dash cam now apparently. I have plenty of their security cameras and have had a good experience with them, and their apps. Now I totally want to buy one of these: http://www.amazon.com/YI-Sensitivity-Definition-Outstanding-Performance/dp/B01C89DTFI/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1463015228&sr=8-18&keywords=yi+camera

I just checked my amazon history and this is what I've been using since March 2015: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006QB1RPY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've had good luck with it, and I initially got it because I was having a poor signal in the basement and some upstairs bedrooms, much improved by switching to this instead of the built in modem wireless. There are probably better options than what I bought a few years back, but with whatever you get I'm sure the signal will be much better vs. using the modem.

Netgear (R8000-100NAS) Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band WiFi Router, Gigabit Ethernet, Compatible with Amazon Echo/Alexa https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KWHMR6G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_8PlXBb790TTNV

It was not a seamless installation. Spent an hour or more with buckeye to get the modem configured correctly.

You need a laptop with an Ethernet connection to the new router. I also had to hook up to the modem a few times as well.

REMEMBER THIS IS NOW AN AFTERMARKET ROUTER THAT BUCKEYE HAS NO OBLIGATION TO SUPPORT!

That said do your own research on the router and what it supports. You might not need one as robust as mine.

We can't recommend enough getting away from the stock router though! You will thank yourself ten fold!

Edit; the modem I linked to has 3 bands. 2.4G hzand two 5Ghz wifi bands. This separation allowed us to do the following:
All streaming devices are on 2.4G it might be a little slower BUT has a farther reach in our 2 story house. TVs are mounted on walls (bad reception)and not all streaming devices support 5G wifi.

One 5G band is for our our cell phones only

The other 5G is what I put our guests on and also our laptop.

This separation cuts down on network congestion on the WIFI bands! Our phones have no one to share bandwidth with.

We only stream 2 or 3 devices at a time and the 2.4g network can handle that and not slow down our phone wifi.

I know you specifically mentioned a brick and mortar store but I bought this one off of amazon for $12. Might help someone else looking for one.

Did you know Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase if you shop by going to smile.amazon.com instead? Over $50,000,000 has been raised for charity - all you need to do is change the URL!

Here are your smile-ified links:

I had one of those types of antennas it was garbage IMHO. I've had much better results with this kind. Get channels from Detroit too.

You can knock $10 off your monthly bill by purchasing your own modem. Here is a list of their compatible router/modem

I bought this one for $30 and it works great. Pay $30 once to save $120/year.

I had a similar complaint and just gave in and upgraded to the unlimited package. I also purchased my own modem used off of Amazon for about $30 and it works great. Yeah, I now pay over $80 a month for what used to cost $50, but I don't really have a choice. ATT's service is garbage (claims 100 mbps, provides 20) and Spectrum isn't available in my neighborhood.

Edit: Here's the link to the modem I purchased. Click me

Absurdly priced.

The pictures show a Raspberry Pi 2, which is the last-gen model with a slower processor and no WiFi/Bluetooth. It also lists a 16GB SD card, which is so small and cheap that they're actually getting hard to find from quality product lines.

BlackSys CH-100B 2 Channel 1080P FULL HD Front and Rear Pro Wide Angle Dashboard Recorder | Dash Cam With G-Sensor + Up to 128gb Memory | Car Parking Mode | Wifi App with a 128gb microSD.

Total was 260 something with prime shipping. Easy to install though I've not hard wired it. Image is pretty good in the day, though night time isn't great and obviously isn't made for an internal car view, though I didn't need one of those.

I was almost ran off the road today and am now working on a compilation of all the bullshit from this month. It's going to take all day probably since i've never used Vegas Pro before. I got it on the Humble Bundle a few months ago and then ran out of hard drive space and couldn't afford a new one until I broke down and just got one today.

The wireless router supplied by Buckeye is junk. What I did was get the modem without wireless and bought the modem below.

I bought this one for $60 two years ago and have had no issues with it at all.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00721TUNS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use an apple router with it.

You might also want to look up the serial number on your MODEM (not router) and see what kind you have. Most of the time the one given to you by the cable company is a shitty one that does not conform to the newest standards out there.

For example...

I have Time Warner and used the modem they gave me for many years. I recently bought a modem on Amazon and almost doubled my download and tripled my upload because the modem they gave me was old and could not "keep up" with the plan I had. Now I am much closer to the 50 down 10 up that I pay for.

Basically you are looking for a modem that is a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. Basically DOCSIS 1.0 and 2.0 are limited as to how much upload/download they can handle, so your speeds might be throttled. Buckeye offers you faster speeds but may give you a modem that can't handle it.

This is the one I bought.

Modem on Amazon

The price is offset by the fact that most cable companies charge a rental fee for using their modem, buy your own and they take that off the bill. Time Warner was charging me $7/month for using their shitty modem.

Its worth checking out, I am by no means an IT expert but I know this worked for me and depending on your plan and modem, it can work for you as well.

Also, always check to see that the modem is compatible with your service. Time warner had a list of modems that would work so I would imagine that Buckeye has one as well.
