That's an awesome bike, I almost went with one for my first bike. Is this your first motorcycle? If so, let me throw a quick couple thoughts out. If you are a seasoned rider, you'll agree these are good points.
2. If this is your first bike, read this book. I've been riding for years and I still read this every spring. it's a very easy read and catches you up on the basics of riding - it's not the same as driving a car. I cannot say enough praise about this book. If you don't want to purchase your own copy, I'll let you borrow mine, it's that essential. I recommend this book to seasoned riders, so this recommendation is equally valid if this isn't your first bike. Improving your knowledge on the road is always important, and this book is a great tool to do that.
Just remember, motorcycles demand a healthy level of respect. There is no reason to fear them, but ignoring safety practices with them is foolish. Always wear your full safety gear; /r/motorcycles calls this All The Gear, All The Time (ATGATT). Speaking of the motorcycles sub, we'd love to have you join.
You should also check out the Michigan moto club on Facebook. I don't have a bike any more, so I can't offer to ride with you, but there are always people on that page looking to ride with other students.
Honestly, just explore the city on your motorcycle. Need to go run and grab a notebook in the middle of the day? Take the scenic route down to the Meijer on carpenter (East on Geddes -> South on Huron Parkway -> East on E Huron River Drive -> South on Hogback Road which will turn into carpenter). The most mindless tasks just got very fun!
Finally, enjoy the ride. You've got a great bike in a very fun city and the freedom to explore. Take the most of it!
I really recommend getting more storage in general. Command door hooks, over the door hooks, ottomans are great for this (ottoman also works as seating).
For more unconventional ideas, I think a shoe organizer thing (https://www.amazon.com/Whitmor-Over-Door-Hanging-Organizer/dp/B000HM5V0A/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_201_lp_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=5G4KM6NE6KWAV5049JZY) is a great idea, especially if you loft your bed. You can use it for shoes or honestly anything else instead (I keep first aid stuff, cosmetics, lotion, umbrella, food, chargers, power banks, and a bunch of random stuff). Lawn chairs are a good alternative to a futon since it's much much easier to transport and store.

These links are just examples. I'm not necessarily suggesting you purchase these exact items, but I do own and can personally recommend most of these. Most of these things can be found in local thrift shops for cheap or on eBay or there will be cheaper options available out there if you look.

Make sure to go to Supplemental Instruction sessions! They’re weekly sessions open to everyone in CoE hosted by the Engineering Learning Center (ELC). You’ll have an SI leader there every week that picks a set of problems for you guys to work through and explain in detail, and I’ve found that consistently going helps me tremendously. They also host practice exams that are different than the ones you’ll find online. Here’s the schedule: http://elc.engin.umich.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/19/2019/01/ELC-SI-schedule-WN19-1-27.pdf
Also, I HIGHLY recommend buying the following book. One of my friends recently wrote it before graduation and he was the best tutor/SI leader I’ve ever had. This book is basically a collection of all his note/teaching material: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1983340995/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QvZvCb3692JBJ

Like the other commenter said, intro to algorithms by CLRS is a great one. However, if you're trying to do interview prep I highly recommend Cracking the Coding Interview. It has tons of fantastic coding questions with detailed solutions. Big 4 companies use problems directly from that book sometimes.
My dad collects postcards and gave me this one he found of Michigan Stadium. It was a used postcard, the message on the back details that the sender went to the Wisconsin vs. Michigan game at the Big House on October 21st, 1950 (UM won 26-13).
Edit: Since a lot of the comments here are about the history of the stadium and recent renovations, I thought it would be relevant to share this book about how it actually got built. It's exceptionally well researched (largely through the Bentley Library) and a neat look at the different state of college athletics in the 1920s.
Our athletic department is not a source of profit for the school either directly, or indirectly through alumni, see the following for discussion and references:
http://www.amazon.com/Beer-Circus-Crippling-Undergraduate-Education/dp/0805068112
http://www.amazon.com/Intercollegiate-Athletics-American-University-Perspective/dp/0472089439
the latter written by former president of U of M, James Duderstadt. This is an incredibly widespread myth which is extremely pernicious in its ability to confuse and misdirect. Only a handful of athletic departments in the country can occasionally make a profit, and this is only after the significant help with overheads from their University (grounds, maintenance, IT support, various staff) and the often directly shady or illegal bookkeeping going on. None of those schools which make a profit from their athletic department do so consistently.
As to your other points, see Beer and Circus above for a thorough destruction of all of those less measurable points. To simplify grossly: the spirit and "rounding" you refer to are blatantly antithetical to the school's primary missions of education, scholarship, and service.
In true reddit fashion, stop being a fucking sheep and look around occasionally.
$29. Worked for me. If it's really bad I'll resort to my Bose noise cancelling headphones.
Not a student (now) but travel a lot and hotel rooms can be like dorms in too many places.

If you want a physical copy (and get it signed by Prof. Greenwood), Amazon has them for relatively cheap as a Dover edition.
If you want a pdf, the Russian Lib Gen has one.
He is the only instructor for the class. He usually teaches it only in the fall, but the class is currently running (W16) because he was on a book tour for Endzone during F15.
If you can get a spot on the waitlist, you can get into the class. Bacon drops anyone who does not attend on the first day. If you show up that day and keep showing up, you'll eventually get a seat. (When I took the class, I met a freshman who got in by doing just that.)
