Comfortable clothes are my absolute favorite for the winter and I've been obsessed with American Eagle's Soft & Sexy collection. The jegging t shirt and the baseball t shirt are great to wear with leggings because the back is slightly longer so it covers your butt. These tops are a little thin so they're not the warmest for the winter weather but I would definitely recommend checking these out. If you haven't jumped on the wagon already, I would also 100% recommend blanket scarves. They are a god send and I absolutely adore them. They're thick enough to brave the incoming blizzard and you can use it as a blanket if you get too cold at work or in class. I bought this one from Forever 21 but it is currently sold out :( and I have this one that I bought from Amazon. They're both really soft and super cozy but I will warn you that they do shed a little. I really hope this helps!

I got some Dankso brown leather sneakers for $60 on Amazon bc I was having a lot of leg/back/foot pain from my usual flats or chucks (yay 30s!)... I thought they were going to look like old lady shoes but I get compliments on them all the time! They are SO comfortable. I wear them to work in a professional environment (with jeans) almost every day. Highly recommend!

Edit: link to shoes

Amazon. It takes some careful shopping, and it can be a little "expectation vs reality" at times, but I've found some great stuff! I picked up this jacket recently for an upcoming event and it's exactly like the pictures.

A few words of warning:

  • Check the size charts carefully. A lot of this stuff comes from China and is sized SMALL.
  • Read the reviews! they'll tell you if the size charts are off or if the pictures aren't accurate.
  • Quality tends to go way up at around the $50 mark. Below that it can be more hit or miss, but you can still find some fun stuff.

Way late, but Amazon and Etsy are my go to for that type of stuff. You can also search using the word ikat. It's the name of a type of pattern. This is in my shopping cart right now...

Also if you live in a place that gets big art or cultural fairs, I found my favorite zip up sweater at one years ago. It's a Peruvian alpaca deal (that I can wear in place of a coat), but I cold natured person could use it as a cozy sweater. As we get closer to fall, it will get easier to find that stuff.

I love this brand, super soft and great quality. I purchased this exact hoodie in 2014 and still own it today.

I love the amazon brand [Daily Ritual](Amazon Brand - Daily Ritual Women’s Ponte Knit Legging, Olive, Medium Long https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DCJJSQ6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_WbGpDb3VEVKQF)I’m 5’9 and get a Medium Long size.

These are thicker so I love them for work. Paired with some cute boots and a cardigan and you are good to go!

Edit: I apparently can’t do links right. 😫

These! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0064Y43CM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I've had mine for almost two years now, still going strong. Super comfy, thick, and inexpensive.

I really like Amazon’s Daily + Ritual Brand. They seem to make a similar shirt:

Daily Ritual Women's Supersoft Terry Short-Sleeve Shirt with Shirttail Hem, S, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075X8BWQT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kzgRBbWMGX13N

I have a dress in the terry fabric and it’s super soft,

Remember it is often windy and wet, so just down won't cut it.

This is what worked for me. I have a Uniqlo compact down coat under the Marmot component jacket (mine is a bit earlier version but same type of thing).

On super cold or snowy days I have these marmot precip pants and good warm boots. The pants have full zips on both sides so you can zip them on and off.

I tried the north face arctic ad metropolis but they just aren't warm and aren't as good as the marmot stuff (leak feathers).

You really need a long coat, so I am not sure if the component jacket will work - my Marmot comes to my knees.

I will try to see if I can find the long Marmot coat with the isolation and waterproof shell.
