I use a matte screen protector on my XZP from Skinomi.

I kinda need the matte surface because I use my phone for directions/music while riding my bike, so it needs to be visible in the sun without blinding me. I don't want to blind nearby cyclists/motorists, either. Courtesy.

But that helps a ton with fingerprints and oil.

Also, I'm kinda wary about using screen cloths alone, or of using the same one over and over. I find they don't really clean oil alone; they just pick up like half of it and spread around the rest. So it looks clean, but it's not really.

I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LW8WBLX/

This same company used to make the fluid that Zeiss sold to clean its lenses. It's not some random Amazon garbage. I carry around the small sprayer in my briefcase. And I bought a big stack of super soft, screen cleaning microfiber clothes. I only carry one, but I rotate them out every time I do laundry. So I always have a mostly clean one without a ton of oil on it.

I use this stuff to clean my glasses, laptop screen, and phone. My screens never really get that dirty, as a result. 90% of the time, there are zero visible smudges or fingerprints.

I also watch my hands semifrequently, though you'll probably want a really gentle hand soap that doesn't try out your skin. Stripping your skin of oil completely is not good for you at all. Especially if you work in the service industry (bartender?) and need to wash your hands a ton anyway for health reasons.

That's my suggestion!

Wow that's awful design. My Z3 also seems to sit right on the camera lens. I guess I'll have to buy a case, bleh.

Edit: I just spent quite a while looking for the best solution to this and here's what I found:

Slickwraps camera lens protector (to protect the apparently very delicate UV layer from scratches

Camera ring (to raise the lens away from the surface)

These products aren't specifically for the Z3 but they should do the trick. Another alternative is a tempered glass protector kit, but those have holes for the camera and won't do as much as a simple camera ring.

And for anyone who doesn't know the specifics of the camera durability issue, it looks like there is a UV layer on the outside of the lens that is very prone to scratches. The best solution, once the scratching is making pictures visibly more blurry, is to rub the UV layer off with toothpaste. This will increase glare and light shafts from strong light sources (like bare lightbulbs), but unless the scratches are very severe and impact the glass underneath, the camera sharpness should be restored entirely.

$420 is a pretty good price if you can get it. I bought mine from Amazon back in September for $610 (it's $535 now) and it works great (dual sim, fingerprint reader). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071ZDMFJ5/

This is my first case and it loved it. Cheap awesome design and the magnetic charging port is not covered up. Also recommend you to buy a magnetic USB charger.

I got one of these from Amazon - the quality and price are pretty good:

I'm sure you could get something similar on your local Amazon

They were going to send me a new phone for a similar issue (back plate coming off). Called them after a month, they couldn't find any to send me. I had a protection plus plan thing though, so they're cutting me a check which is nice. I'm going to try gluing the back on with acid free silicone craft glue (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002AT140O) as I've heard that works.

I tried a few and that was by far the best one. It extends just a tag above the screen so if you were to drop it face first it'd be fine.

This is what I got and it's working great.

yep, sadly you bought the wrong phone. You want to to get the 5803, which is GSM (US carriers AT&T and T-Mobile). I believe the 5833 is for Asia. The 5803 is for EU/Americas.
