I bought these in June of 2013 according to my Amazon. I'm on the second one, and it works fantastically for my grinding. I too was not willing to shell out $600 for a custom night guard when I hear so many stories of people losing them. I probably have to replace this one soon as I'm wearing through it, but still...I paid $13 for them.

I discovered these a couple of years ago. They are not heavy duty enough for striking, but perfect for grappling. They stay on while you talk and do not hinder speech or breathing at all. They are also super cheap and comfortable.

I am in the same situation as you -- grinding/clenching causes me to need fillings and I can't get their 'custom made' one until I get that done. And I don't have the cash for the fillings quite yet.

Honestly, I feel that they one they'll sell you is a joke. When I did more research on my condition and mouth guards, I kept seeing story after story of lost, expensive, mouth guards. So, to shell out $300 on something only to possibly lose it or have a pet chew it up was really unappealing. I started questioning why I needed to spend that much on it.

If I lose it or destroy it, doesn't matter, they're cheap. And I haven't had any issues with soreness and migraines, etc.
