I couldn't find any reference to this being from Ikea, but I did find a couple that look super similar if not the same on amazon.

This is the most important thing on my school list. I'm a teacher and the kids always seem to ask me for a pencil at the beginning of class as I'm taking attendance or seething equally important. It would help me to not go crazy! Next is this. I desperately need more storage in my classroom! My class numbers have shot up...which is good and bad. I teach choir, so I'm super glad that kids want to be in my class!...but that also means that I need more organization and that would really help with that. This comes next on my list because...organization. The kids need a place to put their msuical folders. As of right now, I still haven't figured out how to make it work with what I've got in my room. The 7th grade choir will have 90 kids and the 6th grade will have 80....I have 2 shelving units that have 30 slots each...and putting 2 folders per slot only gives me 120 folder homes...adding that last item will give me 60 more which I can make work!

Thanks for the contest! You really helped me to sort my priorities :)

all the items are on my school wish list!

Also a first year teacher here... thanks for asking this question!

What I'm looking at doing is having a table just inside the door with that day's handouts with one of these hanging on the white board for for collecting homework.

I'm also looking to have a few of these drawer organizers with a drawer assigned to each student for their graded work, binders, etc.

Students will know what to do as they enter: pick up handouts from the table, deposit homework in the hanging file, pick up their binders/graded work from the bins and sit down to begin work on their Do It Now.

I figure if I can get students into that routine, it will make my life so much easier and the opening of class running smoothly.

I use the bobbin system as well. I have five plastic boxes full of all my thread right now. I don't have every colour, but I have a lot of multiples because I've collected up supplies from friends that no longer stitch.

My dream is that one day [one of these carts] (http://www.amazon.com/Advantus-10-Drawer-Organizer-Multi-Colored-AVT34004/dp/B000S12SII) will be made where a bunch of the drawers are sectioned off perfectly for bobbins and then some are plain for fabric, needles, and accessories.
