I prefer grip + screen protector. The RX100 is barely pocketable as is, and adding a leather case relegates it firmly to your neck. Either way, you'll want a protector over that soft LCD film.

I bought mine at the dollar store for $2 though and it looks exactly the same but burgundy. Fits my mod, battery case and juice perfect.
Edit: For the smell/leaking I use Ziploc bag for my juice.
