Here's my official certificate of excommunication. I'm so sorry.

Particularly shameful that I was weaker than this.

There have been a lot of comments already but for me none of the accessories from Peloton are really worth it and can be had somewhere else online for less (or just better quality, as in the HRM).

For the weights...you can get a 20 lb set (3 pairs of different weights) from Amazon for about what Peloton charges for just a pair. Yes, the colors a little funky, but you can probably find some more neutral colors for a bit more if you look around. link: [Amazon Dumbbell Set] (https://smile.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-20-Pound-Dumbbell-Stand-Lettering/dp/B0727Q5F94/ref=sr_1_5?s=exercise-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1522681247&sr=1-5&keywords=weight%2Bset&th=1)

For the HRM...I purchased the Scosche Rythm+. It's priceier but it goes on your forearm instead of a strap around your chest so I thought it was worth it.

For the shoes...I ordered a few pairs online from websites that had free or very low cost return shipping to find a pair that fit right. The wife's shoes were about $60 and my shoes were about $45, they were previous year models so were found in the sale/clearance section of the sites. Some of the sites I visited when looking were sierratradingpost.com, nashbar.com, and artscyclery.com, but there are plenty more out there.

For the mat...we already had one from a previous stationary bike we owned. It was from Amazon and about $28, it fit the Peloton so we decided to keep and use that one.

The only thing I did get from Peloton were the Urbanears Hellas Wireless Headphones. The only reason I got them from Peloton was because I had a referral code to get $100 off of accessories and because that was the only item I saw from Peloton that could not be had for a good amount less elsewhere. They still charged me a separate $12.95 to get the headphones shipped to me since they don't arrive with the bike. They only have black though (if they still sell them), so if you want another color you will have to buy them elsewhere.

Hope this helps.

So haven't yet figured out shoes for myself, but here's everything else I have lined up:
