So I've done a boatload of research on the subject. I've tried a washer, a dryer, even a hula hoop around my arm. The best item I've found is the Astro 4550 Air Operated Paint Shaker. It's powered via air compressor and makes the same shaking motion you make with your hands just 200x faster and more efficiently.
