Thanks. It’s one of those things that people don’t tell you, but it can add years to the life of the putty. My boss likes to say “think like water.”
I should probably clarify that I’m only talking about 1/16 of an inch or so. It will take a little practice to match both sides. I second scoring the paint first. You can get cheap razor blade holders, but I really like this kind.
