Using it at the same time meaning; you don't want to have to keep switching USB cords from Xbox to PC? I wish I was home right now, I would send you a picture of my setup. I'll try to describe it, and I must say that it is quite painless to switch between the two...

I have both my PC and Xbox setup on the same desk. I have a 4 port USB hub that I fastened underneath and flush with the edge of my desk. Right next to it (also fastened underneath my desk), is the XIM Apex USB hub. When I want to use the mouse or keyboard on my PC, I just move the USB cords over a couple inches into the other port. About as easy as it gets.

Definitely a cheaper alternative! It's just a USB 3.0 Dock i found on Amazon
