You're gonna need 3 things:
Put the battery pack in the scope mount, scope mount next to your optic/out of the way of the irons, fan on the battery pack and pointing where the most gas comes out. Since your gun should always be pointing down range then this will blow the smoke down range too! I added a fancy one with a clock for convenience but I'm sure you can find one without if you want.
