It doesn't smell, but it can be a bit sticky feeling (if you have hair, trim it a bit). Best to use it immediately before going to bed, and wear undies. Also make sure you insert the applicator all the way, empty it fully (after a few tries you figure out what works). When you take it out, some may leak, which is why I suggest undies and straight to bed.
Sometimes I take the cap off and squeeze till all the air comes out before inserting it. You know, to avoid the uncomfortable feeling of a vag toot.
