Seeing as Apple devices control the portable audio market, you will find that the vast majority have iPod docks.

Luckily, there is a solution. Buy one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0037LHUSE and you can choose any Hi-Fi system you want, as long as it has a line in. The Belkin one is just an example of such a device, there are plenty of others available too.

I'm not sure exactly what you want exists as a single item, however, you could do what you want with a Bluetooth receiver http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-F8Z492uk-Bluetooth-Music-Receiver/dp/B0037LHUSE and a portable speaker.
It won't have the auto speaker muting, but has the headphone out which is the main thing. If you were handy with electronics you could make a Y lead with a switching jack that disconnected the portable speaker jack when something was plugged in.
