I just bought this for Kombucha. It was $20 for 3 pounds. I haven't used it yet, so I can't vouch for quality. But it passes the sight and smell tests.

I can't remember, and I still have only ever bought one bag. It was 2 lbs of dry tea, so it's lasting a while. Thus my experience is too narrow to provide any good advice. I recommend either asking around or finding brands that sell both large and small amounts, and buying smaller amounts first to try them out.
Found It: Amazon Link. I guess it was 3lbs. It's not the best tea for just drinking to be honest, it's pretty cheap, but my scoby doesn't seem to mind the lackluster taste.
